One Nation to influence Queensland State policy

Pauline Hanson's One Nation is expected to talk to the Coalition parties if the numbers are right. As can be seen above the election results are on a knife-edge.

Yesterday Pauline Hanson said, "We are still going to push for our law and order policy. Don't rule out the fact that we could have the balance of power and have more of a voice for Queensland people.

"We've got to start with bringing accountability back, making these politicians more accountable to the people they actually represent.

"We'd tighten up legislation in a lot of ways by a prohibited persons register. That means if you've got a criminal record or mental instability you'd never be able to own a gun."

One Nation's policies include:

The rag tag army prepares to return power to the people

One thing in common can be found among the new One Nation members of parliament.

As David Oldfield pointed out a few weeks ago, One Nation is a rag tag army of concerned Australian citizens.

Included in the front line soldiers taking up their places in parliaments is a part-time Santa Claus/Fisherman (Ken Turner, Thuringowa); Coffee shop owner (Dorothy Pratt); motor-X racer (David Dalgleish); painter (Jeff Knuth) and vet (John Kingston).

"I will be sitting down with them and we will go through the process of who we feel will best represent them," Pauline Hanson said. "A lot of these members of parliament will be looking towards me for guidance as they have done through their whole campaign."

Ted Turner says that over 20,000 Santa photos have been taken of him. "Most people in Townsville and in fact all over Australia have a photo of me on their wall," said the man with the long, long white beard and white flowing hair.

Jeff Knuth said yesterday, "I believe we would have done a lot better if it wasn't for the dirty smear campaign put on us by the Labor and National parties."

In Barambah, Dorothy Pratt said, "There is almost a total lack of regard for people in the out-of-city areas and the general feeling here is that the bush has become Third World."

China's media points the finger at Queensland

What a joke!

The country that made weekend massacres of its citizens a past-time has come up with the following report:

BEIJING, June 9 (AFP) - China said on Tuesday the growing popular support for far-right Australian member of parliament Pauline Hanson -- who opposes Asian immigration -- and her One Nation party was "worrisome." "The rise of her popularity means that Hanson, even though too absurd and maniacal to be worth refutation, has a market to sell her ideas. And it is worrisome that such ideas are finding a bigger and bigger market in Australia," the official China Daily said in an editorial. "It is not Hanson that causes the worry among Asian people but those Australians standing behind her and those who are reluctant to criticise her ideas," it said.

You can now start to see the damage that a biased Australian media is causing by spreading its self-interested lies around the world about a party that truly cares for the people it represents.

Sixty Minutes... just what is going on?

Sixty Minutes has been at the centre of a series of disgraceful attempts to discredit Pauline Hanson over the last two years. Every time the attempt has rebounded. We know that the Packer influenced programme has absolutely no interest in balance when it comes to anything associated with Mrs Hanson.

The track record speaks for itself.

Channel 9's Sixty Minutes ran a segment accurately portraying and quoting Pauline Hanson resulting in the 49% support for One Nation. (Survey results captured this morning linked to the image of Peter Beattie above right).

This is quite intriguing because I spoke to state director Peter James last night who had spent the whole day with Pauline Hanson, including being there when Channel 9's Paul Lyneham (seen here left) interviewed Pauline at her farm . This was after Pauline Hanson appeared on 60 Minutes - he was not aware that the Lyneham segment was to be used by 60 Minutes.... neither would it appear was Pauline Hanson.

There are some issues here that make me small a rat.

Pauline Hanson is on the record as saying that she would not appear on 60 Minutes ever again and Paul Lyneham is not a normal 60 Minutes presenter.

Just a week ago the programme ran a blatantly denigrating piece trying to link One Nation with US militia.

I was lucky enough to uncover 60 Minutes' manipulation of their survey figures on the programme.

A message was broadcast to major 60 Minutes sponsor, Toyota, calling for them to distance themselves from the programme, copy below:

Subject: Toyota - Sixty Minutes' sponsors need to know.

Dear One Nation supporters

Toyota are the bona-fide sponsors of Sixty Minutes.

Further to our email yesterday about their coverage of Pauline Hanson tonight, ****I would encourage**** you to take a moment to send your message of concern about the unethical behaviour of this Channel 9 programme and express yours views clearly on how you feel this might reflect on their business.

Here is Toyota's email address:

toyota@spike.com.au

GWB

Scott Balson

This email resulted in hundreds of email being sent to Toyota in protest.

It is my clear interpretation that the Hanson segment carried last night had absolutely nothing with balance. I suspect that Toyota, as the programmes major sponsor, have put immense pressure on the discredited programme to try to appease the millions of One Nation supporters or else.

60 Minutes have again shown their deceit again by using footage shot with Paul Lyneham for their show without Ms Hanson being aware that it would be used by them.

Pauline Hanson told me this morning, "There was no mention about my interview with Paul Lyneham being for 60 Minutes. The programme approached me a couple of weeks ago and I turned them down. I feel deceived by 60 Minutes.

"I was shocked when I saw my interview with Lyneham appearing on Sixty Minutes last night. 60 Minutes know that I do not want to appear on their programme."

Finally, last night's Sixty Minutes programme "did not have time" to cover how people responded to their show last week because of the Hanson segment.... give me a break!

Subject: Fake Cards

Scott,

As always, thanks for keeping us up-to-date down south. Just as important, congratulations to Pauline, her supporters and the Queensland voters. Many other messages have expressed the same relief that we may start to "buy back the farm" or at least stop it being bundled up and sent overseas. Without doubt, none of the major parties are looking after Australians but are being hoodwinked by the bureau-rats (as someone has cleverly called them)... its not only the media.

On the subject of the bogus voting cards in Ipswich and Redland Bay (?), there was an instant of something similar in Dandenong in Victoria some years ago, so a fresh election was held for that electorate, I understand. Maybe check this out if you still have samples of the cards. The next time Heather might get in, which would be wonderful since she certainly has impressed people on TV in Victoria.

By the way, everyone that I know in Victoria who has voted Liberal all their lives are going to vote for PHON next time. Hope we can match you banana-benders at our next election.

Regards,
Barry.

Subject: Dear John (I've always wanted to write that!)

I would like to advise you that there is a very simple way to be accepted by Australians: join in. Help out in local community events, political parties etc. Only ignorant people judge people by their race, and thankfully they are a minority. This personal tolerance is not at odds with a nation's legitimate desire to control its racial make-up. If you are here, you are welcome.

Before you judge One Nation so harshly, consider that this site allows you to have your say. It is hospitable to all points of view. One Nation represents the true tolerance, the 'fair go' that used to be the defining characteristic of Australians. Because the 'fair go' was based on personal morality, it was more authentically tolerant than the PC multicultural version which has only divided Australia into competing tribes. One Nation prefers to treat all people equally, rather than as members of allegedly disadvantaged groups. The group mentality is a recipe for corruption. The empire-building ethnic bureaucracies are proof of this.

I write many letters to the mainstream so-called quality press. They routinely ignore my serious or politically incorrect letters, but frequently publish my lighter ones. Why? Could it be censorship by omission? Think about it.

Be thankful there are enough Australians (from all backgrounds and nationalities) who love their country enough to face the ridicule, contempt and outright lies that anybody connected with One Nation has to face. Join in, John, you'll be more than welcome I am sure.

Regards

Subject: 60 minutes ninemsn. Election result poll

Congratulations again Scott, what a fantastic job you have done with this publication.

It has been the ONLY place where we have been able to read the Truth about the incredible One Nation story.

We all owe you a deep debt of gratitude for sticking with it thru all the concerted efforts of those who oppose the will of the people.

Now that the people have spoken( and with a voice that has john howard too frightened to come outside and talk to the nation!!) you might like to take a look at the 60 minutes website and their poll on the election result. We know that credibility of these people is lower than snake shit, but i believe that they have been stunned into honesty ,for the first time. Their poll asks ,in the Kings and Queens section , under a photo of Beattie, ""who would you have voted for "" and lists the players in the Qld election.

Well ... at midnight Sunday, the poll results are

768 total votes so far. Nuff said!

Kindest regards
Steve Nichols

Subject: Regarding Terry Sweetman and other POWERMONGERS.

Today when I read Terry Sweetman's opinion in the Sunday Mail I realised that this publication despite 25% of Queenslanders voting for One Nation he had still not got the message.

Quote "Decent, otherwise sensible people, have given their support to a party that carries on its back people who, whatever their disclaimers, have a racist agenda." Terry Sweetman

I suppose after two plus years of misinformation it is a bit hard for him to change his ways, let alone admit that 25% of Queenslanders know he is a liar.

So how can One Nation supporters stop these leftous zealots of the media? Referring directly to the Courier Mail and the Sunday Mail who are one of a number that obviously think they run this country.

The only option I can see for supporters of One Nation is to simply cancel your daily newspaper. I fully intend on doing this first thing Monday morning.

If your reading this and agree, I suggest you also cancel your subscription in protest. Lets face it the only useful information that comes from the Courier Mail/Sunday Mail is the television guide. The rest of it is nothing more than propaganda, I'm sure they will not miss our "25% radical racist right" revenue.

Subject: Comments on Australian News of the Day

First congratulations must go to GWB for keeping 'Netizens up to date with the FACTS about Pauline Hanson and One Nation. If it wasn't for this Internet site then mainstream Australia would still be listening to Ranting Ray and Sixty Minutes. (Oh how much those media moguls must hate Scotty B.)

Whether you agree with One Nation or not, yesterday's result sends a clear message to the lying, rorting, lazy, thieving, anti-Australian major parties.

p.s. How ironic that a Chinese politician was complaining about the result on ABC - TV News.

Subject: 60 Minutes - so much for journalism.

Having viewed 60 minutes and 1) Waiting for One Nations opportunity at a right of reply to the story of the previous week, and 2) Wanting to see at least a measure of viewers reactions as demonstrated by the Mail segment; how unsurprising it was that 60 minutes chose to give no opportunity at all for One Nation to reply to the allegations levelled at them on the previous Sunday, nor were ANY letters read out at all. One has to suspect that 60 minutes was unwilling to admit the sheer volume of mail admonishing them for their journalistic bias and lack of factual foundation, as well as any fair-minded persons disgust at no opportunity being given One Nation a right of reply during the airing of the actual story! I am just so disgusted at this attitude of 60 Minutes.

I must end my letter before I write you a book. Thank you.

Subject: Mr Spielmann's article

Yep, it's the same old crap.

It seems that for Mr Spielmann, a political party can be described as "ultra rightist" if it is distinguishable from its rivals who are stuck in the squelchy mire of political correctness. One Nation stands for giving pc the boot, and returning to the quaint notion that all citizens should be treated equally whether they are Aborigines, migrants or the native born Anglo-Celtic Australians. Its policy is that assistance should be available on the grounds of need, not race. It prefers the time-honoured successful policy of assimilation over the trendy multiculturalism which is splitting Australia into envious tribes, as well as corrupting our politics with ethnic branch stacking. [For the full monty on Australia's sordid slide into PC read Paul Sheehan's 'Beyond the Barbarians'. Random House, 1998, Excellent by all accounts]

He hasn't even got his facts right. His very first sentence is wrong (she was a candidate not a politician when she was disendorsed), though he corrects himself later. He says that she is 'back'. Only trouble is that she was never 'away'. She has been working very hard as her electorate's parliamentary representative, as well as founding a new party. She was around all right, but the journos chose to ignore her hoping she would fade away, as I have related to this list previously.

And her abominable views? To the consternation of the pc elites, most Australians agree that Asian immigration should be limited. People see that worldwide, large racial subgroups are bad news for any country, and Australia should try to avoid it if she possibly can. There have always been Chinese market gardeners and restraunteurs in Australia. They have fared well and educated their children well to be professionals. Until recently they seemed content to regard themselves as Australian, while being very proud of their distinctive cultural heritage. But with multiculturalism encouraging divisions, it is sad to relate that Chinese community leaders, along with about forty other ethnic community leaders have actually threatened Mr Howard to publicly condemn Hanson or else he'll pay for it, both in lost financial support and at the ballot box. So she has been proven right - their loyalty has been transferred from Australia to their tribes. Even though they prospered in what must have been one of the most tolerant and easy-going nations on earth.

Calling for an end to race-based welfare has been Pauline Hanson's strongest supported policy. Only pc ideologues are obsessed with race. Normal people are sick and tired of the very word. Of welfare policies Mr Spielmann airily remarks that "some are exclusively for Aborigines, others are targeted at refugees or drought-stricken farmers". Indeed, but he neglects to point out that in contrast to the policies for Aborigines, the 'others' are all needs-based. People are sick of the Aboriginal industry with its rorts, nepotism and wasteful duplication of services. In South Africa such seperate development was called apartheid.

In the Hanson book, the claim that Aborigines were cannibals who ate their infants [I saw no mention of eating women in the book] was in the context of countering the romantic noble savage depiction of traditional Aboriginal life. According to it Aborigines were all in a state of perfect harmony with themselves and especially the environment (sigh, it's all so beautiful...) until the evil whites came and destroyed their Eden. So the elites really frothed at this assault on their sanitized pc version. But traditional Aboriginal life was often harsh and brutal, especially for women. [Still is for them, poor things. Domestic violence is endemic among Aborigines]. Moreover many anthropologists claimed that ritual cannibalism was practised in some areas. For example in "The World of the First Australians", the distinguished anthropologists RM and CH Berndt (2nd ed. 1977) wrote, 'In Central Australia and East Kimberley a mother may consume the flesh of a stillborn child, or one dying soon after birth, in the hope that its spirit will be born again through her.'(p.468).

As well Hanson was right to denounce the draft UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples as the "collusion of Aboriginal separatists, the UN and the disloyal and self-seeking globalists in our midst." But for her speech, hardly anybody would ever have heard of it. It would have been yet another of those secret back door deals that suddenly are presented to an ignorant citizenry. It would have to be one of the silliest documents I have ever read. And Howard's response was pathetic.

He said her comments were 'deranged'. He claimed the Draft was nothing, of no importance. But many indigenous people seem to think it is important. It features on ATSIC's (the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders Commission) website. If the Draft is so inconsequential, as Mr Howard asserts, why were so many Australians represented at a UN Working Group which held 18 meetings during the period 21 October - 1 November 1996 precisely to discuss it. Among Australia's representatives were the Australian member of the UN Commission on Human Rights, ATSIC's Social Justice Commissioner, and representatives of the Central Land Council, Kimberley Land Council, National Aboriginal and Islander Legal Services Secretariat and the NSW Aboriginal Land Council. As it is not cheap to fund people to attend a Working Group in New York for one and a half weeks, the Draft must have some significance. You can't have it both ways: either it has significance or it is an example of junketing.

But that's enough. You get my drift I am sure.

Subject: BBC World News bias.

Dear sir, I sent the following feedback to BBC World News:
To the Editor, BBC World News.
Viewer and listener feedback, vlc@bbc.co.uk

I just watched your World News TV program, Sunday evening HK time, on cable TV here in Manila.

You carried a segment on the huge groundswell of support for Pauline Hanson's One Nation party in the elections of the Australian state of Queensland.

Having worked in Asia for more than five years I used to look forward to your unbiased and informative reporting. It was impossible to get anything except political correctness from Australia Television or Radio Australia.

However, I could not believe that you labelled One Nation a "right wing" party "founded on racial superiority". You are only doing your global viewers a disservice by misleading them as to the intentions of One nation. I even noticed that your journalist in Australia, Michael Peschardt, backed away from your comments on air.

The fact is that One Nation got close to 25% of the vote after only being in existence for little more than a year and would have gained much more if it wasn't for the blatant lies, quoting out of context and the careful avoidance of debating the issues by the Kerry Packer and Rupert Murdoch controlled media monopolies in Australia. They are unscrupulous "people" who are prepared to sacrifice freedom of speech for the sole purpose of enlarging their media empires.

I am also tired of seeing the same old film clips of the rent-a-crowd hooligans bussed around to One Nation meetings (in the early days) and organised by groups affiliated with the Australian Labor Party. Visit the link below for the facts on what really happened at these meetings but was never reported by the mainstream media.

The fact is that, by any sensible definition of the word, Australia is already very racist.

At present, purely based on race, the Aborigines in Australia are getting a whole host of privileges which whites do not. There are aboriginal land claims on almost 80% of Australia! There is no acceptable definition of who is Aboriginal and who is not. Billions of taxpayers dollars are pumped into the "industry", much of it unaccounted for. If anyone dares to question these policies he is branded a racist by the politically correct minorities. In fact it is politically correct to express feelings of guilt and to continually apologise. A whole bureaucracy is now feeding off it (the "Aboriginal industry" or the "guilt industry") and in the future it threatens to be as divisive as apartheid.

One Nation simply believes in providing welfare assistance on a needs basis rather than a race basis.

For more information I recommend that you visit:
http://www.gwb.com.au/onenation/index1.html
or http://www.gwb.com.au/gwb/news/daily.html

Incidentally, on your Sunday morning news program I caught the end of a telephone interview with some un-named and faceless informant from Australia who was attempting to sound credible while obviously using you to get a global audience for his blatantly biased version of what is happening in Australia. You had better be more careful who you accept on your program in future - please put a face or a name to the voice so we know who is misleading you!

At least it is now OK for us to admit that we support One Nation. With the party now having nation-wide credibility it will be much more difficult for the opposition parties and media to use labels and opinions in order to avoid debating the issues.

If a federal election is called, I will be looking forward to taking a trip back to Australia to vote. The major parties know that if a federal election were held now they would lose a heap of votes to One Nation. But if they wait longer they will lose a heap more! Interesting times in Australian politics.

Best regards,

Kevin Wildash

Subject: Low Interest Bank Loans.

I guess I must be one of those dense members of the great unwashed Aussie masses that politicians are happy to ignore, but, how can a State-sponsored Bank offering 2% interest loans to primary and secondary producers possibly bankrupt a State economy. I know Mr. Beattie adamantly expounds this, but he offers no explanation as to how it could result from the One-Nation incentive.

It would seem to me that, if such a bank was established in regional towns, as well as major cities of Queensland, and was to accept deposits from the general population at commercial rates, it could not only be self-sustaining but could provide the service currently being abdicated by major financial institutions. Surely, the only cost to the State would be the initial capital of $150M and the wages of the staff who were made redundant by the commercial banks. The same premises in towns could be re-activated and, I presume that, most of the required facilities, e.g. the vault, would still exist.

Perhaps I am being somewhat simplistic in my appreciation of these needs, but to have such infrastructure sit idle and stagnate seems wasteful to me, particularly when consideration is given to the fact that these premises are available solely due to the greed of the former banks. The new bank, being State-sponsored with tax-payers capital, would not have the need of such a formidable demand for return-on-investment as the Majors, and the reduction in the unemployment queues may even prove attractive to an incumbent government.

Of course, this presupposes that the FSIA permits such a bank to be established and perhaps this is the real burr under Mr. Beattie's saddle.

Subject: Policy designed with loopholes

Since we have been invited to consider some policy approaches of Australia's new Young Turks, the One Australia Party, we might begin by acquainting ourselves with some elements of a unique drafting style.

For example, the policy on firearms, issued in May, spurns conventional striving for unequivocal precision, rather appearing to be designed for ease in circumvention.

Here are two examples of what may be viewed as deliberately created loopholes:

POLICY ITEMS: There will be no registration of individual long arms. Australians have the right to defend themselves and their families in their own homes. Subject to other provisions stated in this policy, we acknowledge their legitimate right to firearm ownership.

Legislation regarding safe storage provisions shall accommodate situations where the firearm is under the direct physical control of the owner and where locked storage impedes a legitimate intended purpose.

POSSIBLE TRANSLATION: It will be lawful for anyone to keep a long firearm under one's bed and use it to legitimately shoot any intruder.

POLICY ITEMS: The legitimacy of participation in shooting competitions is acknowledged. Competitors shall not be disadvantaged by being denied access to firearms of the type required for competitions, international or otherwise. (FEDERAL OBJECTIVE:) The repeal of customs legislation prohibiting the importation of types of firearms referred to by this policy.

POSSIBLE TRANSLATION: As soon as a group of citizens can organise a competition for submachine guns, it shall be lawful for any competitor to freely import and possess such weapons.

Australia's parliamentary drafting would surely need to be considerably debased before such sloppy policy ever appeared in legislation (even in Queensland).

Subject: financial deregulation rethink

One Nation is derided for its objection to the deregulation of the financial sector for the benefit of foreigners as part of the push to globalisation. Yet consider the verdict on its results 15 years on by Mr Fred Argy who was was the the Secretary of the Campbell Committe which recommended the deregulation of the Australian financial industry in 1981.

"I've become increasingly disenchanted with the behaviour of the financial markets. Quite frankly the benefits of financial deregulation are not what they were expected to be, or what they're made out to be. Financial markets have become increasingly peverse, erratic, inconsistant and arrogant. They think that 'they' should be dictating policy to governments. What we now have is a situation whre speculators - 'the new barbarians at the gates' - want to have fun making a quick buck. We have increasing volatility which has significant effects on the real interest rates. As a result there are effects on business confidence and long term economic and employment growth.

"You've got to ask yourself whether it is not the lesser of two evils to have the guts to stand up to them - to tell them to go and jump in the lake. They can put the government in a terrible corner but provided the governemnt has the economic fundamentals and the social prorities right, they can tell the financial markets to go to hell." (7.30 Report, 26/4/95)

As the late and wise Santamaria wrote, "Those are not the words of a currency crank, or of a conspiracy theorist." Indeed. So why is One Nation derided as beleiving in conspiracy theories for saying the same thing? One Nation has the guts to bring pressure on them, and they know it. This is the reason for that hysterical campaign which backfired so spectacularly. Take a bow Australia for showing them you can see through their propaganda.
