Malcolm Fraser on One Nation

Fraser yesterday told a press conference, "One Nation, as things are will have the balance of power in the next Senate and possibly the balance of power in the House of Representatives. To have One Nation to have a bargaining chip for the future of Australia should be totally unacceptable to all of us."

In other words the democratic system of people deciding their future is not working in favour of the elitists and their powerful multinational mates... As the saying goes dear Malcolm Laboral has screwed up the country for too long - it is now time for the people to regain control and kick the multinationals who rape and pillage and continue to tax dodge out of the once lucky country.

Swan Hill meeting - 22nd July

A small band of about 100 well behaved protesters held up banners and chanted outside the Swan Hill Town Hall in the far north west of Victoria on the Murray River as guests arrived for a One Nation meeting that was to be addressed by Pauline Hanson.

The meeting was attended by over 700 guests who packed out both stories of the Hall - described by locals as the biggest crowd in 25 years. It started at about 7.45pm with David Ettridge kicking off the proceedings. David spoke about the impact that Pauline had had in allowing to people who were once frightened to, to now express their point of view on issues that concerned them.

Bill Croft, candidate for the Federal electorate of Mallee, spoke after David talking about how Swan Hill had changed from times when everybody at Swan Hill 20 years ago had jobs and a future compared to today where young kids cannot find work and have to move to Melbourne - and often land up in trouble in the big city.

Pauline Hanson walked on the stage to a tumultuous response with people standing, clapping, cheering and whistling.

Pauline spoke for about an hour without notes... the guests were continuously clapping and cheering at points made by Pauline Hanson.

Don McKinnon, the Federal Candidate for Farrer and the popular Mayor of Wentworth, spoke briefly after Pauline Hanson highlighting some of the changes which had adversely affected people at Swan Hill - making the point that it was time for people to have a say through the ballot box. He made the point that Laboral had had the game sown up for too long.

Finally Pauline Hanson answered questions and signed over 100 posters at $5 each.

When the National Party leader and Member for Farrer, Tim Fischer, holds a meeting at Swan Hill about 40 to 50 loyal National supporters normally attend.

Here is an excerpt from this week's article by Graham Strachan entitled 'Globalisation and Social Parasitism':

For every producer of the goods and services needed for human survival now there is almost one other person, a politician/bureaucrat/academic/policy advisor/‘expert’, who pushes them here, shoves them there, tells them life wasn’t meant to be easy, yet implores them to continue producing because there are others who ‘need’ what they produce. The organising class itself produces nothing that anybody would choose to pay for in a genuinely free market. They produce reports, recommendations, survey results, white and green papers, theories of trade, and schemes for reorganising the world which inevitably turn out to suit the purposes of the people who guarantee the continuance their own parasitic existence. They spend their days in conferences and meetings planning the lives of productive people, and they disguise their envy and resentment of the producer under a cloak of smug self-importance and elitist arrogance. Every time the producers demand a say in what happens to them, their labour or their produce, the parasitic elites harangue them, calling them ‘populist’, ‘simplistic’, ‘afraid of change’, and accusing them of ‘scapegoating’, ‘turning back the clock’, and ‘failing to understand the benefits of globalisation’. (Benefits to whom?)

The fact is that decisions about producers, how they must be ‘more competitive’, how they must submit to the discipline of ‘free trade’, are being made by people who themselves produce nothing socially valuable. There is no better example in Australia than the sugar industry....

Big business attacks Pauline Hanson

With the growing support for Pauline Hanson now becoming a major issue big business has launched an attack on the One Nation party.

David Buckingham executive director of the Business Council of Australia ,which represents the multinationals and little else, said that One Nation's stance would "do great harm to all of us".

Labor's Peter Wellington to back One Nation in Parliament

Independent Peter Wellington whose vote has allowed the Labor minority government to be formed in the state of Queensland has confirmed that he will cross the floor and support some Private Member Bills being raised by One Nation.

This comes at a time when One Nation leader Bill Feldman again raised the specter of "Shreddergate" (State Labor's "credibility achilles heel). Feldman and Wellington met for the first time yesterday at Feldman's Caboolture office.

"Peter Wellington was open to many of One Nation's concerns about fixed Parliamentary terms, gun laws, law and order and primary industry," Feldman said after the meeting.

"Mr Wellington is keen to see our proposals on a number of these issues and he has indicated his support for some of the more important matters."

Wellington said, "I wanted to assure Bill the statements I have made about the door always being open are genuine."

Left Link's Marg Hutton spits the dummy

The saga of the Left Link diatribe continues unabated. The page we put up on Monday exposing the links between the loony left and the Labor party appears to be drawing some success as one of the moderators and sponsor of the mailing lists Marg Hutton starts firing blanks.

Here is a post she sent out to one of her "mailing lists" appealing for a lawyer to give her presumably "free" advise because she feels that she may have been defamed in my page.

Now let's get this into perspective. Left Link is the on-line communication vehicle for Labor's loony left and fringe groups who were largely responsible for preventing Australians the right to free speech in Hawthorn. Under the 1914 Commonwealth Laws people who prevent political rallies from proceeding can, if charged, find themselves behind bars for three years.

For the record I deny that the page posted is "the original" and editing by those copying and subsequently posting it should be taken into account. Some details have been erased to protect the person providing this post.

Subject: Query: Libel in cyberspace?

Elizabeth Shannon suggested that I post this to the list as some Ausfem-Polnetters may be interested to hear what has been happening...

I am involved in the Leftlink list (having set it up and moderated it for the first two years). Last week a couple of messages were posted on the list regarding Sunday's rally in Hawthorn where Pauline Hanson was booked to speak.

Yesterday, as a result of these messages, Scott Balson, the webmaster of the official One Nation website put up a page on his site (which he also linked to from the One Nation site) naming me and four other people involved with Leftlink as being the organisers of the rally along with our email addresses and in some cases, with links to our work places. (There's a certain irony in this given One Nation's response to the publication of the names of some of its members in the Australia-Israel Review.)

For those who are interested, Balson's page can be found at: http://www.gwb.com.au/gwb/news/onenation/left/meljul98.html

I should point out however, that this is a modified version of the original. The original (and in my opinion more defamatory) page can be found at: http://www.progsoc.uts.edu.au/~baitoven/interlink/original.html

My main reason in posting this on Ausfem is in the hopes that there maybe a lawyer on this list willing and able to advise as to whether or not Balson's page is defamatory with suggestions on the best way to respond.

Hi Scott

I followed the link and then became curious about the page being sponsored by SEARCH. So I went looking, seems it is a registered non profit company who's charter is to diseminate socialist phylosophy.

Although I have not been able to verify it, I am led to believe that the leader of the labour party has an automatic seat on the board.. You may already know this, but in case you don't I thought that I would mention it..

Subject: The Dynamic Duo

Dear Sir,

In reply to the dynamic duo of Maurice Baroni and Peter Croft, I would like to say how glad I am that they are not One Nation Supporters. A pre-requisite of being a One Nation Supporter, it is that you have to be able to write a letter all by yourself and not have your friend standing by to help by looking up big words in the dictionary.

Let's have a bit of a look at the Queensland Election results that our verbose twosome find so amusing. They were correct in stating that 77% of people voted against One Nation. Quite obviously they didn't vote for One Nation but if they reside in Queensland they must, by law have voted for someone or else pay the associated fine.......however

It is clearly obvious from the above numbers that no party achieved a majority of the vote. It was a case of Government going to the least biggest loser. It is also clear that One Nation achieved the second highest vote, which considering that the Party is just over a year old compared to the Labor Party at just over 100 years old is not a real bad effort.

Of major importance is the fact that all of the problems big or small that exist in Australian today are totally the result of previous Governments, not One Nation.

So come on lads, which lot did you support? If it was one of those Parties listed above then you too can bask in the reality that more people voted against you than voted for you.

If by any chance you voted for "the others" then you are a bigger pair of losers than your letter first indicated.

Allan W. Doak.

How stunningly clever your language is fellas.

Here's a hint for you: Study some form of Human Resources practice. In these and other subjects you will find that "jargonese" is no longer used. It's 1998 now and Australians don't talk or write like that anymore.

Were you trying to impress us poor average Australians or were you just having a mental wank?

Subject: socialist left posts

My God Scott, I had just finished E-Mailing ON telling them I thought this latest demo was organised rather than justs "concerned citizens", then I start reading the News of the Day and find the actual posts from these creatures recruiting people for the demo.

Just who are these people??? What are they doing here in Australia? How dare they (the media) talk about conspiracies with ON & fictional links with right wing groups. These Inernational Bookshop people are real--"we are in favour of mass rallies to close down opposition political meetings"!!!! (or whatever it said). I am horrified. These ratbags have got to go!!!

sorry about the short rant

Subject: our critics

I invite Leftlink's Alistair Air to explain to the readers of this site how violent thuggery resulting in the cancellation of a legitimate meeting could possibly be described as a 'successful anti-Hanson protest'. Was it successful because it prevented freedom of association for One Nation supporters? Or because it forced the few who were brave enough to run a gauntlet? Or perhaps because the scheduled speaker was prevented from speaking? Or because citizens were bailed up in a hall till a violent mob dispersed? Do tell, Alistair.

I suggest to Chris Clarke that his claim that 100,000 would have turned out if the protest had been organized by the ALP is a tad over optimistic. While Labor party allegiance is strong among the chattering classes it is bleeding in its traditional support base. And they're coming over to One Nation.

I invite Stuart Craigen to justify his hypocricy in stating, "I agree they have the right to listen to whatever the feel they need to [sic]", while he attended the very protest which because of its violence, prevented the majority of citizens wishing to 'listen' to Paulinde Hanson from doing so. He attended the protest which forced the more determined guests, including elderly people, to run a gauntlet of screaming rabble with hate-contorted faces. He attended the protest which resulted in the cancellation of a legitimate meeting. According to his professed belief, he should have DEFENDED the One Nation sopporters.

Matthew Davis' response - that One Nation supporters are more worried about increased sexual freedom than the violent bullyboy tactics disrupting legitimate meetings - is too silly do deserve any other comment but "Grow up!"

Phew is right! Dear me.

You know, I wouldn't mind the left wing socialists if you could actually find any which were socialist. Just look at their record...

* Instead of doing the traditional left-wing thing and saying that property and means of production should be owned by the Government and ALL the people, they want to have 95% of the landmass held exclusively for the use of a small group of indiginous people. How socialist is that?

* They prefer the Laboral Party over One Nation, when Laboral have a record of flogging off everything in site to private and foreign capital interests. What would Carl Marx have to say about that?

* They've bought into the whole globalist agenda, when the only people who benefit from it are the owners of multinational companies. How does that benefit the working man all you lefties?

I've got a message for all you left-wing trendies. Why don't you learn to think for yourself instead just letting yourself be programmed by all the catch-phrases and trendy talk. If you were consistently communist or socialist I could at least respect you for having a consistent and idealistic philosophy. But as long as you advocate policies which totally contradict your supposed ideals you are nothing more than a very sick joke.

As for me, I will vote for One Nation because I agree with 90% of their policies. That's a good bit better than the 2% of policies of Laboral that actually make sense. (Does Labor have any policies? I hadn't noticed. What a joke for Beazely to say that One Nation doesn't have any policies. They're about the only ones talking about policy these days).

Subject: rent a crowd

Hi!

It is quite deplorable the way the thugs are breaking up Pauline's ON meetings in Victoria.

It is obvious the "rent a crowd" element are back. The same thing happened before. I understand the demonstrators last time had been organised under the umbrella of some left wing radical group.

Why have the media not said anything about the demonstrations being caused by organised groups, rather than calling them "concerned citizens"?

The more the ON meetings are disturbed, the more most people can see what is really happening. The more strident they get, the more ON receives positive publicity.

Marshall Thornton.

Subject: Truckies and the dole

Hi there,

Well I might not be able to afford a membership but you got my vote next time, Well I want to raise a point I own a truck in the courier business in Adelaide and there are some interesting things happening in the industry like the contracting companies are not being honest with it's subbies E.G. Yellow couriers Adelaide they according to contracts take 35% commition from the drivers (haha) so we are not allowed to know how much they charge the client well I found out a company was charged $89.00 for a Job given to a 4 TON truck the driver got $18.67 for the Job where was the 35% in that and it is rife in this industry so how about exposing this for all to see just look at any company who employs sub contract Drivers as couriers or taxi truck drivers.

My wife has to claim the dole so we can eat and I can't afford to fix my truck after 2 years working for this sort of company

Well why should I work like this Better I buy a gun and shoot myself John howard gets what Yellows doesn't so why do we do this sort of work Would You ???

My average income last year was about $156.00 per week well that is worse than the dole but I can't claim the dole and work as well and there you have it

Name withheld

To Pauline Hanson & The One Nation Team,

Keep up the great work you are doing, Pauline is the finest example of a courageous patriot that this country has seen since Bob Menzies!

I would be interested to receive any eMail information you wish to make available at any time, and I would also like to say that the One Nation Web Site is a credit to all involved. Some locals down here who have lost theitr guns to the gun -buy-back fiasco are still interested to know about One Nation's position concerning military rifles. The general feeling seems to be that the original gun laws that Victoria had were reasonable, and the majority of gun owners feel it is unnecessary for military weapons to be available to the general public. Could you please acknowledge my ealier eMail on this subject. In the mean time, please maintain your determination and efforts in trying to get Australia back on track.

Subject: J. Shinkfield & multiculturalism

Hi J Shinkfield,

Thanks for your letter in Monday's anotd.

In it you mentioned that without multiculturalism you might "have been so vague about other races as to become racist". Sorry to pick you up on this one ( as you wanted to keep racism out of the debate ) but are you suggesting that countries such as Asian ones, may have many racists amongst their people because they do not promote multiculturalism?

Australia's culture developed under a policy of assimilation of a multi-racial population. My ( non Anglo Saxon ) relatives and friends have come to Australia for holidays and they have recognized and enjoyed our culture. They cannot understand why our government wants to change it to a multiculturalist one which seeks to divide our nation according to racial groups.

Most people would understand that it's only natural that many immigrants would still hang on to much of their cultural identity, but what we are protesting about is the taxpayer funded government support to maintain these foreign cultures. Having travelled to many countries, I can say it would be a sad loss to see any country's culture being replaced with multiculturalism. It's divisive and naturally the inhabitants would stand up to protect their own culture. Unfortunately we see those pushing multiculturalism in Australia ( and I have seen this in other countries too ) trying to remove our cultural traditions just to satisfy the demands of ethnic groups who reject our culture.

You suggested that high immigration levels are necessary to counter the problems that will develop due to our declining birth rate. But, our low birth rate is a result of the decline of the family and our Laboral governments over the past 20 years are to be thanked for that. Rather than the quick fix of high immigration with it's many problems, divisiveness and costs, a better solution would be encouraging family life and values in Australia. This would not only provide more tax paying workers in the future, but many other current social problems related to family issues could be reduced as well.

Regards,

Peter W.

Subject: One Nation Support

Dear Sir or Madam,

I support One Nation and have done for about 20 years before the party actually became both a success and a scare to those who will try and bring this country to its knees. Keep up the good work but most of all please, please pull together. For your useless information I know of a person with two doctorates one in psyciatary (if thats how it is spelt) and one in antrhopology who read Paulines' maiden speech and the best he can come up with is that she got the population of Malaysia wrong. When I explained to him that Time, Bulletin and Newsweek have also got it wrong he said "well she's not very smart". That came from an ex president of the ALP in Far North Queensland. Please feel free to quote me.

Regards John Goss (Not the politician)

Subject: Important message from your Say No To Hanson candidate.

Asians and womyn of Australia, (and anyone I forgot, such as Aborigines)

Allow me to introduce myself.

I am Thurston Phoremost, your Say No To Hanson candidate for this electyion thing .

But that's enough about me.

I, Thurston Phoremost, want to hear about YOU, because other politicians just don't listen to the people, I am different, that's why I want you to tell me all about yourself, and tell me EXACTLY what you want and expect and, yes, DEMAND from your politicians, as is your right! I'm LISTENING!

Go right ahead!

Tell me!

But wait, before you do that, why don't you just SHUT THE **** UP!! and listen to me while I tell you what I'll do to this place when I get elected.

Firstly, I will tighten up the gun laws. John Howard started this process, he took the guns off the weekend shooters, so now no buffaloes or feral pigs need worry about being shot by some looney.

"But wait," I hear you say, "that's not enough, them weekend guys wasn't murdering nobody, it's the criminals with the guns that are shooting people, and they didn't hand no guns in, crims don't obey laws, and the gun law is just one more law for them to break!"

Well, I thought of that. When I'm elected, I'll make it ILLEGAL to be a criminal!! Hence, there'll be no more guns. Very logical, isn't it? Us Anti Hanson people are very logical. I believe I'm the first candidate ever to put this radical new policy before the people.

And speaking of criminals, these dreadful Hanson people want Truth In Sentencing, that is, they want all violent criminals to serve the whole of their sentence. I believe this is barbaric.

I, Thurston Phoremost, think that when these people get into court, they should not be called "Defendants". That is a loaded emotional term. They should, instead, be referred to as "Clients". We must be more sensitive.

I believe that no Client should be made to serve any more than 2 years in prison, furthermore, I believe that if the Client can prove that his potty training was deficient, he should have three years taken off his sentence. This would put him in credit for the amount of at least one year. This will reduce the violent crime against old people, who would have probably died soon anyway, even without the misguided but entirely understandable actions of the Client.

This brings me to Asians. I love Asian migrants, because I believe their cultural values have contributed enormously to our culture. But I think they could contribute more, if there were more of them.

Especially Muslim Asians. Let me explain.

I long for the Australia as it was in the Fifties, when women stayed in the kitchen, and dressed modestly, and spoke only when the man gave them permission to speak.

I think, the more this idea, and similar Asian FAMILY VALUES, gets infused into our culture, however slowly, the better off we'll be. So we need more Moslems coming in. There should be more of them. The more of them we have, the quicker our culture overall will start to change in this beneficial way. We need good old-fashioned FAMILY VALUES.

Asian migrants will bring with them heaps of good old-fashioned cultural values which our mamby-pamby so-called "enlightened" culture foolishly threw away decades or even centuries ago.

I, Thurston Phoremost, feel that we should be More Like Asia(tm), but if we can't do that, let's be Part Of Asia(tm) instead.

EDUCATION.

I think it's great that there are so many Asian students coming here filling up our universities, paying a pittance, gaining marketable skills such as computer science and electronic engineering and all that boring stuff, and then going back to their home country, then being replaced by a further influx of new Asian students, and so it goes.

There should be more of them.

Sure, it would mean that, as a result of this, there's gonna be no university places available for Australian students, but that doesn't matter. You see, these educated Asian people will be able to help build more manufacturing industries back in their own countries, providing us with even more competion from cheap imports, thus sending our Australian industries broke at an even greater rate than is happening now.

This process will be helped along due to there being less Australians with a tertiary education available to keep OUR industry modern and competitive. This doesn't matter, because there'll be cheaper things available from these new Asian factories, so Australians won't need to earn as much money, and therefore don't NEED a tertiary education.

I also think it's good that all these Asian students are not the children of peasants, who couldn't afford foreign education anyway, since the parents work for about 50 bucks a year. Rather, these Asian students are the priveleged sons and daughters of upper-class filthy rich Asian capitalists, who became rich by exploiting their own citizens on slave wages.

I just hope my Lefty supporters don't cotton on to this embarassing fact. Not much chance of that though, 'cos let's face it, they're pretty darn stupid, after all.

This brings me to Asians. I think the Government's Business Migration policy is a good thing, we bring lots of grossly wealthy Asian businessmen here. Why is this a good idea? Well, we hear lots about Asian politicians being corrupted. Well, just WHO is offering all these huge, juicy bribes to all these Asian politicians?

Obviously, wealthy Asian Capitalists are doing it, of course. Some of them just can't STOP bribing politicians.

That's why I, as a politician, want lots of VERY wealthy Asian capitalists coming to live in Australia, and bringing all their millions of dollars (which would otherwise have been spent on bribes) with them.

There should be more of them.

You see, Australian politicians can't be bribed. When an Australian politician is offered a massive bribe, he always rejects it immediately. At least I will, anyway. Before long, all these businessmen offering the bribes will get sick of all this rejection, and will therefore eventually stop trying to bribe politicians, and will instead become good honest citizens.

If a wealthy Asian businessman attempts to bribe me, I'll refuse. I won't publicly shame him, oh no, I am a man of honour. I don't believe in publicly embarassing anyone. No matter how big the bribe, I'll quietly, and very VERY discreetly, decline the offer.

In fact, after being elected, my challenge to ALL wealthy businessmen will be this:- Go on, try me! I bet you can't tempt me. No matter HOW big you make the bribe.

Well, that's enough for today. Soon, I will release my policies on Aboriginal single mothers who don't vote -- and I'll be explaining why I think there should be more of them.

Until then, as always, I am Thurston Phoremost.

NOTE:- Some of the above is not really true, it's just satire, contributed for its comic relief value. Anyone who wants to get offended is free to do so. Any similarity between John Howard and a ghastly little barking toad is (whilst quite remarkable) entirely coincidental.

Personal trivia, from the global office:

Another perfect day in paradise.

Have a good one.
