National Party freaking out again

As it becomes apparent that the Coalition have learnt nothing from the big "One Nation scare" at the October 1998 federal election acting Prime Minister Tim Fischer is now warning the New South Wales State Coalition to work harder "to shut down One Nation".

He predicted that One Nation would not win one Lower House seat in the March state elections - but perhaps one in the Legislative Council.

"There is not the same rigour in the state parties as there is in the federal parties," Fischer said. "I don't see the same sense of urgency among my State Coalition colleagues."

What Fischer and his cronies totally overlook is that it is their performance that people are now basing their vote on. And in the credibility stakes the Laboral factions have failed badly - despite being shored up by the media barons with slanted articles against One Nation.

The challenge is for One Nation to get its act together on key policy issues before the New South Wales elections - a task made more difficult by plants in the party who put their hand up for guaranteed national exposure. A media response reserved solely for the party that their owners don't want to be around.

Murder by Media, Death of Democracy in Australia launch - 22nd January in Sydney

Murder by Media will be launched in Sydney on Friday 22nd - the venue is yet to be announced but should provide the mainstream media with something to think about.

The book, through pre-launch marketing on the Internet, is starting to receive growing interest from overseas reporters and book reviewers. I have had requests from well-known book reviewers in both the UK and the US who wish to write reviews for publication in magazines in those countries.

Here in Australia, despite an initial shot being fired across the bows of the mainstream media by way of a cryptic press release by email, the response has been zilch, zero, nought. Perhaps they hope the book will just go away?

Obviously this will be the best place to follow the book, its launch and how the media respond to a full scale attack on their credibility (not hard to do I might add).

If you want me to send you details on the launch on 21st January please send me an email.

Watching the counter click over

Hi Scott & all the Anotd readers,

Read today's copy and got to the bottom of the page and noticed the hit counter was reading 224,475. Not far short of the quarter of a million mark, a significant number in my mind.

I first "discovered" Anotd approximately 20 months ago when doing an AltaVista search on "Mal Colston" who was in the papers at the time for being a naughty boy with his travel expenses. Many of the search engine hits pointed to this site. Not only that but there was a whole lot of other thoughts being expressed about the state of our country, how it was being managed/mismanaged along with the stories on old Mal.

One of the other items which was extensively reported was about Pauline Hanson. How fascinating, this was not the story stuff that was being reported in Local and state newspapers, TV and radio which until that time was the only information sources available to me. Feeling that the opinions expressed by the editor and the majority of the letter writers was much closer to those that I personally felt myself, I have become a regular reader since that time.

Which brings me to THAT COUNTER at the bottom of the page....Can't remember exactly, but I think it was well below 50,000 (Scott help me out here). I quite clearly remember watching it steadily climb to the magic 100,000 and thinking about the fact that most of these hits must be, such as myself, regular readers returning on a daily basis. I have not done any maths on this, but it appears that the counter is going faster now (that's good). More people reading another source of information that is not controlled, filtered, and edited by large corporations/government. 200,000 seemed not so long ago.

Scott, it would be very interesting reading to gather the information for your readers of, regular average hits per day from the early days until the present. Possibly this could be an ongoing box on the page just above the counter. The challenge for all of us could be to spread the word and thus see that daily hit rate rise at an ever faster rate. How long to hit a million? There is an awful lot of people behind computer screens out there that can access the internet and this page and would IF THEY KNEW ABOUT IT!

I guess I have to thank Mal Colston for that. The papers call it Circulation numbers, TV & Radio have ratings. This can be measured 100% accurately, it's called hits per day and it is growing.

Looking forward to 1,000,000. Any predictions when?

All the Best
Bob

Intellectual prejudice

Dear Editor,

I must strongly agree with Antonia's comment on the prejudice of the intellectual from Wednesday 6th January's ANOTD.

The less educated members of society have no doubt benefited from the accumulation of knowledge passed down from university graduates of the past. Without the continual pursuit of research and development and embracing of new technologies we will be thought to be akin to those who once complained that automobiles will put the blacksmith out of work and frighten away the horses.

For One Nation to remain a credible political party, more emphasis should be placed on higher education. Although farming and tradition trades are important, Australia will be left behind in the technology race without a stronger focus in this area.

Matt Foley

BRISBANE 4000

Matt Foley,

It is noted that the "Colony of Queensland Letters Patent Dated 6 June 1859", erecting Moreton Bay into a Colony, under the name of QUEENSLAND, expired upon the death of Queen Victoria on the 22nd of January 1901.

As you are already aware, there are many mitigating factors which lead us to understand that the system of law currently in use, in Australia and Queensland, is entirely invalid.

Therefore, as the "senior law officer" of the State of Queensland, it is incumbent upon you to produce the written evidence of the authority you claim to wield. Ergo, you will require the State "Governor" to produce written evidence of his authority to act in the capacity he claims.

You will, therefore, require the "Governor" to produce written evidence of an authority from the sovereign people of Australia, that they permit him to occupy office and that, therefore, there is an hereditary Australian Monarch competent to supply such an authorisation.

Should you not be able to do so by, say, the 24th of January 1999, an injunction will be sought to prevent you and the State "government" from applying the law of Great Britain to citizens of the sovereign nation of Australia, namely those residing in the State of Queensland.

Furthermore, warrants for the arrest of any person, applying the law of Great Britain to the citizens of the State of Queensland, will be sought for enforcement.

Yours faithfully,
Len Clampett.

Competition Policy

About six months ago one of my colleges in Sydney, was considering a job with GE (largest company on U.S stockmarket ) who were tendering for a contract to cover all maintaince of NSW hospitals in Sydney region. This shows National Compitition policy has some major flaws in we should be giving opportunities to small / medium scale Australian contractors and service companies. if super large Multinationals such as GE are allowed to get into this it will be more money going offshore (300 Billion U,S company , bigger than Microsoft ). For the last couple of years maintenance departments in Hospitals and Universities across the country have be put under like a individual business setup so as to prepare them for outsorcing their functions an example of such services - Electricians, X-ray Engineers , Computing, Pathology Services, Laundry. So potentially we have a problem in several areas -

1 These areas in Hospitals/ Universities are downgraded, Numerous redundancies, Moral is shattered, wage earners are then employed under contracts with loss of benifits to employees.

2 It seems the only winners of National Compitition Policy will be the Multinationals - more money going offshore where traditionally the above services a high proportion of outlays remained in each Hospital / University community.

Recommendations :- If services are to be outsourced we must ( ONP ) support and prefer local services / contractors , Other wise Big buisness will scew more workers and there will be less secure worthwhile jobs in Australia.

Some other points if anyone has any info to contribute.

If any one can confirm the likes of this major maintence tender going out to this huge U,S multi please contact me.

In the last 4 years the number of Private Pathology Laboratories in Australia has gone from over 12 major ( majority Aussie Owned) players to about 4 of which some of these are dominated by overseas interests .

As the NSW elections are looming ever closer there may be issues with the Decimation of the CSIRO's alot of these are like ghost towns to visit , example CSIRO near Armidale severly downsized over last 5 years affecting the whole community . University of New England was encoraged to become entrepreneurial by the Keating Government resulting in the University now having large debts, the resulting downsizing has also affected the town.

My background - I have regular contact in my job with labs between Nth NSW , QLD & N.T.go afar afield as U.S.A & NZ. There are alot of issues we can highlight with National Comp Policy and if we continue to take a stand on these we will generate support and keep money and jobs in Australia.

Reform Party

Hi Scott,

Hi Antonia, yes I for one am interested in anything you have to share with us on the Reform Party of Canada. I have been following the politics of Canada myself as there is a monumental battle for free speech on the net going on over there right now.

The Canadian Human (InHuman) Rights Commission along with several Zionist backed lobby groups wish to change the already draconian hate speech laws over there to include the internet. There has been painfully little outcry from the bulk of those who claim to champion the right to free speech. This includes the Reform Party some of who'se members have actually indicated they will support the even more draconian proposals now under consideration.

One wonders whether this is just too much of a hot potato for them since the main target of the CHRC has been Ernst Zundel, and after all free speech doesn't have to include nazis does it?. The danger here of course is that if free speech for Ernst goes then it goes for all of us since for example under the new proposals you would not be allowed to villify or criticise homosexuals, thus in effect instantly outlawing any religion worthy of the name, so yes let's hear all about the reform party but let's not be too hasty to judge until we know just where they stand on the issue of free speech. This is an issue that will affect us all for the Holohoax Enforcers have no intention of stopping at Ernst Zundel.

For those who might like to add their voice to the defence of freedom of speech there is an online petition

Remember the outlawing of freedom of speech cannot and will not be selective. It doesn't matter whether you agree with E. Zundel or not, Canada is a testing ground for a revival of communism and if these laws go through we could very well be next!

Thou shalt not kill

In view of the various massacres perpetrated by the Israelites and their God against various other peoples, is it possible that the commandment should read, "Thou shall not kill your own kind"?

A particularly nasty killing spree occurs in Deuteronomy, chapter 2 verse 33:
'And the Lord our God delivered him before us; and we smote him, and his sons, and all his people.

And we took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed the men, and the women, and the little ones, of every city, we left none to remain.'

The Commandments seem to be rules designed to achieve harmony only within the Israelite nation, which seems obvious given the above massacre (one of many).

Death Penalty

Dear Editor,

It is of course no surprise to see the mainstream media take a position against One Nation regarding the death penalty.

Ironically, many of those death penalty opponents support women's "rights" for abortion and/or euthanasia. These activists profess to hold the sanctity of human life as the moral guiding for their argument opposing the death penalty. This of course is a complete fallacy. Babies are not exclusive to human life, if only a few months post conception, nor are the terminally ill. These activists talk of a fetus to hide their guilt. When a pregnant mother explains the facts of life to her young children, she'll say "there's a baby in Mummy's tummy" - the word fetus is not even contemplated despite being medically accurate terminology.

For those supporting euthanasia and opposing the death penalty, what is their position on the quality of life when comparing both cases? Surly life confined to a prison cell unto death is one of the most debased forms. When rehabilitation is out of the question, what value is there in preserving the lives of our worst human rights violators at taxpayers expense, when this money could be spent to enrich the lives of law abiding citizens.

It seems to me these death penalty opponents are really concerned about the will to live rather than life itself. Babies a few months after conception haven't this will to live due to their limited experience of sensory input. Some terminally ill also don't have the will to live, of course for different reasoning. Although the will to live concept is frequently used by the pro-euthanasia activists, pro-abortionists and death penalty opponents tend to overlook this issue. The question is, should we value a criminal's will to live over the benefits of his execution? We must remember that those on death row in a fair society are not traffic offenders - they have committed horrific acts such as torturing children and capital murder.

Death penalty opponents often discuss their revulsion of the actual act of taking a life. They talk of this as a "barbaric act". Many of these same people would eat meat. They would be happy for animals who have harmed no one to be killed, but spend countless hours trying to defend some of our worst human rights violators. There are those who argue "meat means murder", and indeed there is plenty of evidence of animals suffering immense stress prior to slaughter. How far shall we go; tie up all carnivorous animals and force them to vegetarian diets, or the other extreme of embracing cannibalism? Of course, eating meat does not equate to murder, but the act to provide sustenance for life. It is these activists folly to assume identical outcomes must be morally equivalent. If this were true, then rape would be morally equivalent to making love. If the execution of a capital murderer is a "barbaric act", how would one describe the convenient killing of an innocent baby?

Statistics are bandied about from both sides of the death penalty debate on the deterrent effect. The evidence of a general deterrent effect is elusive, therefore these statistics quoted in isolation from either side are an exercise of proper gander until more data can prove the case conclusively. However, it is clear that there is an individual deterrent affect in many cases.

In general death penalty opponents arguments have little merit when the advocates position is fully understood. They argue the penalty is racist, sexist or a desire of the middle class to keep the poor in their place. What could be more of an insult to more than 99% from these classes who refrain from committing horrific crimes? Opponents argue of the excessive legal costs, but conveniently omit the money spent in imprisoning a life without parole offender. They take selective biblical quotes when in fact the bible condones the death penalty when read in its true context.

Although these arguments are of interest and should be pursued for the benefit of society, they are of little importance when compared to the issues of globalisation, economic rationalism, immigration, multiculturalism and unemployment.
