Queensland MPs to break from Manly, more to follow

I accepted an earlier invitation from the Wynnum branch executive to attend their monthly meeting. Over 30 One Nation members attended what is, without doubt, the last party meeting in Queensland under the old hierarchy under the two Davids and a flawed constitution.

Ian Nelson, Bob Dutton and I addressed the meeting.

At the meeting the Wynnum membership gave their total allegiance to the remaining five Queensland One Nation MPs... a move which is set to be replicated across the state. Discussion included the impending moves being made by the MPs.

With the help of TIAF we now have plans in action to get the same vision, without the flawed Manly leadership, operational in a very short period of time in all other states. These are exciting times because we will be embracing the so-called "whiteants" and inviting them back to the new party- a D2 Factor-free party.

And this move to register a party outside 2D control by the Queensland MPs has "freaked" David Oldfield who, last night on Channel 9, said that the Queensland MPs could be expelled!

Who the hell is ex-Liberal candidate David Oldfield? To many he is nothing more than a smart talking opportunity seeker. The real heroes of the people's movement are the Bruce Whiteside's who were cast aside by the 2D agenda not the slick talkers like Oldfield and Ettridge.

Quote from Channel 9 Newsreader last night, "They have been awfully quiet in Parliament, the five Queensland One Nation MPs, and now we know why ... they have been quietly planning the demise of Pauline Hanson's right hand men, David Ettridge and David Oldfield."

"The One Nation MPs are re-registering as One Nation Queensland tomorrow..." wrong - this actually took place on Friday with the full support of other key Queensland One Nation members.

"- the two Davids names will be missing."... sanitised at last!

Oldfield said on Channel 9, "Pauline Hanson herself does not support them (the Queensland MPs)..." - interesting that while the Queensland MPs do not know how to contact Pauline Hanson in the US - Oldfield alone apparently does...

And another classic Oldfield comment.. "The most likely repercussion of course is that they will lose their seats at the next state election because they won't be able to stand as One Nation members."

I have learnt that the old Pauline Hanson's One Nation under the failed 2D leadership is going to try to put up candidates in seats against the Queensland State MPs. Problem is they will have no support base or branches to help whoever they put up.

Over the last four weeks I have been detailing the incredibly flawed management and structure that we have under the 2D Factor. When I questioned David Oldfield's leadership motives - I was immediately added to the whiteant list.

The people's party, One Nation, has moved forward in preparation for the new millennium - a point that I implied on Friday with the collectors piece at this link. I expect that some of the Independent ex-One Nation Queensland MPs will join the five now that the 2D cancer has been removed.

The official press meeting on the MPs move takes place at 10am today... I will be there to give a full report on what transpires - update this afternoon.

Image right "whiteant" Scott Balson between Ian Petersen and Bill Feldman before the press conference.

Today the Courier-Mail carries a small page five piece headed "Oldfield attacks 'name theft'" in which it is claimed the registration of the name One Nation Queensland by the five MPs would be stopped by Manly.

Press conference now on-line

Late flash:

Heather Hill was called into Len Harris' office at 3.45pm this afternoon and fired because of her support for the Queensland MPs decision to move ahead without the two Davids.

An ironic twist when you consider that Heather won the Senate position but handed it over so graciously to Len Harris after the High Court/Chuck Hong fiasco.

Dubbo NSW State meeting

A full report on Saturday's Dubbo meeting will follow later.

I can tell you that, as suggested earlier, John Karnau was suspended from his post as Regional Vice President at a meeting which was attended by the 2Ds and Senator Len Harris (Harris supports Manly). I have heard from Stephen Burke that some five hours were dedicated to such an important issue as Ettridge's wish to have Karnau suspended and that the Queensland MPs imminent departure from Manly's control gained only secondary coverage.

The move to suspend Karnau only came after extended argument - and was narrowly adopted - reflecting fracturing support for the Manly office in New South Wales. The One Nation branches effected by the move have now made it clear that they want to follow the Queensland option free of the 2D factor.

Manly is expected to send letters to the effected branches requesting that they find a new RVP because Ettridge doesn't like the one they had before... he asked too many questions and dared to think for himself.

Courier-Mail's lack of credibility (surprisingly) still has some way to fall

That trashy Murdoch rag sometimes called a newspaper by those who work there is getting a good , well earned beating at the moment.

On Saturday it was revealed that a CJC Commissioner, Julie Dick, had found that the organisation had a direct, and illegal, leak to The Courier-Mail. It was through this connection that information relating to confidential documents about One Nation MP Jack Paff was broadcast by this paper to its readership.

Now the CJC is claiming that they will sue the commissioner... guess who runs this state!

Today The Courier-Mail remains very quiet on the subject - or should I say selective censorship is in play again.

However, the credibility of this joke of a paper still has some way to fall and I am relishing the opportunity to be part of that exercise in the new millennium.

Kernot prefers Britain

FORMER Labor regional affairs spokeswoman Cheryl Kernot spent as much time staying in London as she did in regional Australia in the first half of the year.

Mrs Kernot was replaced as regional affairs spokeswoman and switched to education in October when she complained about the demands of the job.

But politicians' travel figures reveal Mrs Kernot – recovering from glandular fever after a stint in hospital – spent just six nights in country areas in the first six months of the year.

During the same period, she jetted off to London on a week-long trip sponsored by the British Government.

British Prime Minister Tony Blair shouted Mrs Kernot a business-class air fare and accommodation for the trip.

She has a liking for the UK – earlier this year, The Sunday Telegraph revealed she had taken a "lap of honour" study trip to the UK just a month before she quit parliament and the Democrats leadership to defect to the ALP.

Mrs Kernot often complained about having to travel extensively in shadowing the regional affairs portfolio, as well as having to maintain her marginal seat of Dickson in Brisbane.

She spent only half as much time in regional Australia as her opposite number, Transport and Regional Services Minister John Anderson, who spent 15 nights on business in regional areas.

Travel records tabled in Federal Parliament show Mrs Kernot spent nights only in regional NSW.

She claimed $165-a-night for stays in Lismore (two nights), Byron Bay and Wollongong (two nights), and Dubbo.

She also spent four nights in Melbourne, where she was able to claim $230-a-night, and 12 nights in Sydney at $275-a-night.

In May, Mrs Kernot said she was travelling extensively in regional Australia.

"I set myself a target to meet as many peak bodies and lobbyists in my first six months as I could, and in between that and managing the second most marginal seat in the country, I have just about exhausted myself," she said.

"I'm not out there seeking massive publicity, I'm out there seeking ideas and community views."

Travel records show that at the time of that comment, she had returned from only her second regional trip.

NSW Meeting

Dear Scott

Any news about the NSW meeting held yesterday?

Sorry that you are still on hold with the court case - I really do wonder how that could happen - wrong jurisdiction - really, really odd. So the wait continues.

Cheers
Beth

Beth

I will let you know as more comes to light.

Dubbo meeting

Accusations of white ants or ferals will not remove the avalanche of issues.

The issues were successfully swept under the carpet in the past by a membership who were only to eager to believe the two Davids' version of events. The issues are not going to go away this time, they are being championed by honest, credible, loyal One Nation supporters who will not be silenced by childish names like white ants or ferals. This infantile manner of trying to silence genuine hard working One Nation members is something that should never have been tolerated.

If none of the current issues have been addressed this weekend at Dubbo, then I think we can safely conclude that the RVP's are a waste of time and are no more than a rubber stamp for the two Davids.

Members take a stand, the time has arrived.

Adding insult to injury

Scott..re Ian J Nelson's comments....(bet the J doesn't stand for journalist).

Here we have been presented with the same old line, the same old defence. Denigrate the messenger and accuse them of having personal grudges or bias. "The agenda is offensive"... well, there is more than one side to this argument and perhaps Mr Nelson would like to take off his blinkers and then perhaps he'd find that the other side agrees...."The agenda is offensive". Then of course we get the staple "plea for Unity" statement, of course it is everyone else with a different point of view that are causing the disunity. Never let it be said that the Ostriches and Lemmings are the prime cause. As for giving the David's a fair hearing.... I thought you had invited them to put up their side from the very beginning... so far the silence has been deafening.

I would hazard to guess that any monetary assistance the Davids have given One Nation has been more than compensated for by now... I stand to be corrected. As for working 80 hours a week... there are those of us that spend every waking hour and a lot of time when we should be sleeping...working FOR ONE NATION.

Personally I don't favour getting rid of the Davids unless there has been proven impropriaty. David O is a good speaker when kept under control. David E should stick to fund-raising and leave the membership alone. Your readership is not blind to the good things such as the recent air-time on 2GB... but I bet they don't blindly accept all that is told them like some members of One Nation I could name.

Not every letter is negative or slanderous...else how did Mr Nelson's get published.

Riddle me this Mr Nelson.... who caused a front-page stoush just before a State election, by calling members/elected candidates "drug users" and "crazy"... when they were merely trying to raise concerns about the so called "democratic" Constitution? Good timing...well handled...a lot of political savvy used there.

Who published lies in a very recent letter to One Nation members about Scott Balson an his Website? Readily verifiable lies.

You may be a freelance journalist Mr Nelson... but your not a very good one.

Geoff

Ian Nelson

Ian,

Who is more important than our survival - David Ettridge and David Olfield.

Who is more important than the entire party - David Ettridge and David Oldfield.

Who are the only voting members of Pauline Hansons One Nation Inc? I can tell you who isn't - Ian J Nelson. This is not about personalities it is about issues.

Old, old stories. Ian you obviously haven't been around long or have had a sheltered upbringing. The only thing that changes with these characters is the name of the business and the location. They put their own money in to kick off the business. We all did mate, but I'll bet they got theirs back with interest, we didn't pal.

People don't sign their names - I wonder why. Get your head out of the sand.

Slanderous stories - I don't see Mr Ettridge running to court where he can be cross examined. Stop boot licking and start thinking. Open your biased eyes mate.

Response to Ian Nelson

"Respect for the truth and the public's right to information are the over-riding principles for all journalists."

As a freelance journalist yourself you should be aware of the foregoing quotation from the Australian Journalists Association's Code of Ethics.

The public's right to information is the key issue and it is a journalists duty to utilise his investigative skills to expose the facts without fear or favour.

Alternatively from your perspective, to give your argument any credibility, you must present your own evidence on which you challenge the evidence of others.  Put simply, "Put up or shut up".

It is obvious by your criticism of @notd that you stand behind Mr Ettridge and Mr Oldfield.  Fine, then why don't you put your skills as a freelance journalist to good use and ask them some of the harder questions.  For example:-

1. Was Mr Ettridge, as reported by Matthew Horan in The Courier mail dated 24th August 1998, declared bankrupt after being prosecuted by the Tax Office in 1992?

2.  If so, was he discharged from bankruptcy in accordance with the Section 149 of the Bankruptcy Act, upon the expiration of five years from the date of bankruptcy, when he took office in the political party Pauline Hanson's One Nation?

3.  Did he extend the courtesy to Pauline Hanson and others the fact that he had been a bankrupt before appointing himself sole signatory of PHON bank accounts held at the ANZ bank, The Corso Manly NSW?

4.  Was he a discharged bankrupt in accordance with the Sect. 149 and Sect. 269 of the Bankruptcy Act when he commenced operating Champions Magazine Pty Ltd?

I could go on but I think most inquiring minds would have the drift by now.

Ken Hunter

(definitely not a journalist)

Mr Nelson,

Most of your letter yesterday sounded as if it came straight from Mr Ettridge's mouth.

"These two men were responsible for putting up their own money to kick Manly off" - No one but this pair of interlopers ever wanted Manly. Things were going great guns WITHOUT them. It is because of their inadequate capabilities that this Party is in the financial and morale doldrums it is in today.

"all this total refutable garbage is damaging all of us" - Then why has it not been disproven? You're a jounalist - go do your job! Don't just repeat Manly rhetoric.

"Not got the guts to sign their names" - You apparently haven't heard about the threats, indimidation, name calling, and ousting that go hand-in-hand with any criticism.

"The good of the people is the chief law" - Got that right...and that's why they have to go.

"Which member.........more important than our survival. Who?" No one, including the 2D's (Dubious Duo)

I hope after having "followed the fingerprints" and doing some investigating of your own, we may get a more informed letter next time.

RTW freelance self-safety observer.

"Transparency"

I'm glad to see Mr Ettridge believes in tranparency as is shown by his wide spread release of how much Scott Balson was paid as Web Master.

Now what I think we would all like to know is what package Mr Ettridge has allocated himself. Base rate plus expenses and all other sundries including petty cash dockets , traveling expenses, everything.

I'm sure we all wouldn't like to see another 94% situation .

Manly's support base shrinking fast

Manly's support base is shrinking by the day. Even the most loyal are now starting to ask questions. Transparency has not been a feature of Pauline Hansons One Nation Ltd. Like human cattle we have not sought fit to question this obvious attempt to limit the memberships' power. Surely the membership, after all our hard work at raising funds for the party would like to know the financial state of the party at the moment.

On what basis is David Ettridge employed.

What is his job description what goals has he been set to achieve. What are the repercussions if he does not achieve these goals. The party has been set up as a company so it would seem reasonable that those employed are held accountable for some measure of performance judged by a commitee from the Members Inc. Accountability is elementary in any organisation it appears to be entirely lacking in this instance.

The party wants to get into power but has been tripped up at the starting gate. I think everyone is now starting to see something is very very wrong.

I admire loyalty but we must also use our heads.

Audit required to exonerate Manly

After years of backing the 2D's in Manly blindly. No matter what story surfaced we defended them without ever really knowing all the facts. That has now come to an end. Blind faith is not now appropriate. Answers are now required not by way of words, but by a look at the workings of Pauline Hansons One Nation LTD ACN079986913. By an auditing firm chosen by members of Pauline Hansons One Nation Members Inc. We have the right. It is our money that pays for Pauline Hansons One Nation LTD ACN 079 986 913.

The old saying is appropriate here - whoever pays the piper calls the tune.

I'm sure even the die-hards can understand this.

Stop Howard the Worthless Coward ratifying World Court Treaty!

The un-representative swill who purport to run this country have now taken it upon themselves to ratify a secret UN Treaty that would undermine and nullify the judicial sovereignity of Oz at a stroke(http://abc.net.au/news/1999/12/item19991212140608_1.htm.)

Of course not! The vermin who dance to the tune of their globalist puppet-masters do not want their traitorous activities scrutinised or exposed. Instead, they deflect public attention by raising a host of 'non-issues': the Republicon, 'reconciliation', 'Ten Point Plans' and other worthless garbage.

Stop this Star Chamber of Political Correctness!

The laws of the land will be over-ridden and people dragged off to this Tyrannical Tribunal to answer for such 'crimes' as: homophobia (http://www.reagan.com/HotTopics.main/HotMike/document-1.18.1999.6.html.), racial and religious villification, anti-globalism, nationalism and Thought Crime in general[!]

*Ettridge! Wanna redeem yr-self?! Start making some public waves about this!....dis-abuse ex-ONP members that you are nothing but a Laboral stooge!*

cheers!

Economic Rationalism

The Editor

Dear Sir

Regarding the by-election in Victoria.

The Libs cannot get the message. People are sick of Economic Rationalism, Globalisation and Council amalgamations.

Will the voters continue to send the same message in the Benalla by-election when Pat McNamara resigns soon?

Jack
