On-line research background to the book "Pauline, the Hanson Phenomenon" by Helen Dodd.

International:

Terrible fires are ripping through the heart of northern and central New South Wales at the moment. Two firefighters lost their lives when trapped in a firestorm at Scotsman's Hill at Lithgow.

Well, well... how the little worm turns. And at the risk of being called "racist" that is what I am going to call the Cape York Land Council self-proclaimed "supremo" Noel Pearson.

Pearson is now reaching the infamous position of Robert Bropho's racist mob the Nyungah Circle of Elders... This Aboriginal group is perhaps the most racist, media-closeted, cultural group in Australia. Closeted because they are indigenous Australians... indigenous Australians, let me remind you, are above claims of being racist. How can they be? They are the ones who for generations have been vilified and ostracised by the forefathers of today's "white" Australians.

The Herald Sun in Sydney on Monday quoted that little worm, Noel Pearson as saying, "If they (the Government) tear the law up and they tell the law to get stuffed, the (High) Court to get stuffed, I tell you, there is no other answer than war.

"If they tear up Eddie Mabo's victory with this ten point plan, then you know we would be kidding ourselves if we think that this political strategy is the right strategy.

"Most of the country want to feel good about Mabo but we (have) got this miserable moral cockroach running the country and he's got no sensitivity to these things whatsoever," Pearson said.

"This Federal Government basically despises black people. They hate black people.

"But they are nothing anyway. We can beat them. We can beat John Howard and we can win the argument."

His comments were published in the indigenous newspaper Cape York Unity News - comments which were highly censored by News Limited. (The Herald Sun is a Fairfax publication).

Let us remember that his comments are tied up with the UN Draft Declaration on the rights of indigenous people - which is the antithesis of democracy in action. It claims to "in its current form sets forth the path of Peace which must be based on mutual respect." It states, "If the United Nations; the Nations of the World will join us in this undertaking we can begin collectively to end war and to begin a new and promising future for the world".

Then we discover that all its Founding Members are all indigenous people:

That's why you and I don't know about these "global" UN decisions that are dumped on us!

While this deception takes place, who is at the forefront of advising Senator Harradine on native title. Harradine the politician with the casting vote in the upper house? Why Father Brennan a pro-native title advocate who has written that an instrument of reconciliation "drafted as a treaty between sovereign peoples would mark a revolutionary change in Australian jurisprudence". He wrote in a paper on documents of reconciliation, produced for the Council (Council for Aboriginal Reconciliation), that there was "no prospect of development in High Court jurisprudence to support such a notion, despite the continuing aspirations of many indigenous Australians".

So to summarise, "white" Australia is being threatened with a "race" war; the United Nations draft legislation on the rights of indigenous people is being drafted by Australian aborigines (like Mick Dodson) without any input from mainstream Australia; the legal fraternity are on a "financial" roll; the Senator with the casting vote is being advised by a pro-native title protaganist and mainstream Australians wonder why this is all blowing up in our face!

There is just one way out of all of this - Pauline Hanson had the answer months ago - yet the media ignored the statement - "It is imperative the Australian people know and understand the International forces driving the Aboriginal industry and the flawed and divisive concept of Native Title. The underlying blueprint and inspiration in Nunavut, the separate indigenous nation within Canada and the draft United Nation's Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

Hanson's simple solution to scrap native title is underscored by an event that happened last Friday. A young Aboriginal friend of mine was taken to the Ipswich watch house because he could not pay an alleged speeding fine. The amount to bail him out was just Au$301.05. If he did not come up with the money he would have to spend twelve days behind bars. The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Service (ATSIC) legal service did not help him, so I came up with the money and he is now out of jail. ATSIC is spending millions of dollars of tax payer provided money to meet the base greed of very few privileged Aborigines who have a lot to make out of land grabs. Aborigines like Noel Pearson. Aborigines like my friend have no interest or involvement in the land grab... So instead of 2% of the population wanting 80% of Australia I would suggest that the figure is closer to 0.1% of Aborigines wanting 80% of Australia

Here we have the corrupt so called bastion of the Aboriginal community, ATSIC, falling down at the most basic of levels serving all the indigenous people... but it is I and others who are called a racist day after day because we want equity for all in our nation - and yes that includes equity for my Aboriginal friend!

The greed factor of the privileged Aborigines is now becoming bigger than Ben Hur with the news yesterday that the Mitakoodi/Junhjlar people were serving a writ on MIM over a native title claim on their Au$300 million Sir Ernst Henry gold and copper mine.

The latest news is that 500 mining leases in Queensland are now under a cloud because of this move in the courts.

Queensland Mining Council chief executive Michael Pinnock said yesterday that the action by the Aborigines had sent a "chilling message" to international exploration investors.

Then there are the professional men feeding off native title claims... the lawyers. While families and lives are ripped apart in the rural areas over native title claims legal men in grey suits working in big city air-conditioned offices, paid by ATSIC, grasp the nettle and claim that they are doing it to ensure "justice".

What a joke....

Colin Hardy of legal firm Reidy and Tonkin said yesterday, "The Mitakoodi/Juhnjlar people have gone to court reluctantly and are only trying to enforce their legal rights. The traditional owners don't want to stop the mine."

We have received some very interesting feedback on the publicity, or lack of it, given by News Limited to the launch of Pauline Hanson's authorised biography "Pauline The Hanson Phenomenon" by Helen Dodd.

Media Watch have confirmed that not one News Limited paper in the country has either reviewed the book or covered the launch of the book. We know that the coverage of the launch by a journalist from The Courier Mail was cropped and replaced with a story about a book launched by Bryce Courtnay in Sydney.

We are starting to get feedback from people around Australia who have tried to order the book from their local book store. Amongst the feedback has been the following:

Quotes:

The ABC book shop in Newcastle, - surprise surprise-, said NO they did not have it and NO they were not going to get it in. When asked why, she did not know, she just knew they were not getting it.

Angus & Robertson, Bourke St, Melbourne: "I have heard of it, there are no plans to get it in, we don't normally stock that kind of thing. We could order it in if you want it."

McGills, Elizabeth St, Melbourne: "We don't have it on order."

Despite the censorship sales have been quite stunning with most orders being directed to and being processed by the author, Helen Dodd.

You might recall the arrest earlier this year of the Vietnamese family in Inala who were thought to be the state's largest heroin distributors.

The 23 year old daughter, Thi Hang Nguyen, was sentenced to 12 year's jail yesterday but the judge accepted submissions that she was pressured by her father to participate so he recommended that she be paroled after just two years.

The court heard that Nguyen travelled from Sydney to Brisbane while the heroin came by bus to Ipswich. Nguyen picked up the heroin at the Ipswich Transit Centre... shortly after police raided the family home and seized 328g of pure heroin worth about Au$1 million on the street.

Bernadette Callaghan, Nguyen's barrister, said to the judge, "My client simply had no choice. She was acting under cultural and family pressure."

Callaghan said it was rare for a daughter to disobey a father in Vietnamese culture.

So if you are an Aussie you would have probably have had to serve at least six years because Aussie kids tend to be a bit rebellious towards their parents... makes a lot of sense doesn't it!

Political:

Senator Brian Harradine has pushed Australia to the brink of a double-dissolution by saying that he will reject seven out of ten of John Howard's proposed amendments to native title following the High Court's decision on Wik.

Harradine yesterday released a series of "bottom line" amendments which back Aboriginal interests. When asked if his he was concerned that his action would send Australia to an early election Harradine said, "These particular amendments I regard as being  bottom line amendments. They are in no way ambit amendments. I want to stress that. I just simply have to address these matters... and (have) come to the conclusion based on the material that I have and the principals I hold.

"Native title rights are meaningless unless you have a mechanism of negotiation which deals with the very, very valid interests of the Aboriginal group."

Yesterday Howard stood fast on his position saying in Parliament, "You (Harradine) are conferring a right on native title claimants that you are not conferring on pastoralists."

What we should not forget is that Harradine is being advised by Father Frank Brennan.email the editor

Subject: Republic of Ozzzz

Dear Editor,

There used to be a strategy for selling encyclopaedias: ask the potential buyer if they'd prefer the maple or the rosewood bookcase.

So it is with fooling the public over the republic.

While the people are distracted with the question whether the president should be elected or appointed, the new Constitution will be slipped in, and there will be a clause in it empowering the president to declare a national state of emergency.

Once declared, such a state of emergency will empower the president to rule by executive order, without consulting the parliament, not only on matters pertaining to the state of emergency, but on any matter at all. 'Racism' will then be used as the pretext for declaring such a state of emergency, and in no time flat Australia will be a dictatorship.

Preposterous? The United States of America (yes that great 'symbol of democracy') has been in such a declared state of emergency since the Great Depression. Every November the president finds an excuse to re-declare it (as Clinton just did), thus re-affirming his own dictatorial powers. The excuse this year was 'the existence of weapons of mass destruction' (which America itself invented, sold to the world, and of which it has the biggest stockpile). It seems any excuse will do.

Wik will not be resolved. It will be made to go on and on until the republic is declared, gradually creating a worsening situation until the new president can, on her own order, call in the white tanks and duck blue berrets. Bet on it!

Subject: I see it, but I don't believe it !

Dear Sir,

Is this racist or just astute observation?

Is it just me or are aboriginals looking less & less aboriginal?

Before anybody generates the usual hate mail because someone dared to differ, just have an objective look at some of our supposed aboriginal leaders.

First you have Michael Mansell who has blue eyes and fair hair and skin and very few aboriginal characteristics. In spite of this he travels all over the world, no doubt at Australian taxpayer's expense, urging other countries to boycott the Sydney Olympics because aboriginals can't get their own way. Then you have this bloke called Geoff Clarke who travels with Mansell to do their dirty work against Australia. I wonder who pays his passage? Now if ever there was a person who didn't look like an aboriginal it would have to be this guy.

Next there is this bloke who goes by the name of Peter Yu. This guy is dead set Asian. Why is he doing the bidding for the aboriginal industry? Doesn't anyone else spot the discrepancies?

I though I had seen it all until last night on television I spotted this character with the subtitle of Warren King from the Northern Land Council. Unless the colour control on my television set was faulty, this guy had red hair and fair skin and was so blatantly non-aboriginal that everyone in the room burst out laughing.

Come on Australia, get real. If we are to be forced by the New World Order to have to deal our land away to aboriginals, at least pay us the courtesy of having some real aboriginals to deal with.

Now before you fire up your hate pens, just seek out the people I have mentioned and have a good look. If these people are aboriginal then I can choose to be Scottish, German, English or Irish because there are little bits of all of those races in my family's blood lines.

Let's see now.....what shall I be today?

I wonder who is offering the best deal?

I hope they are offering fly-buys.

Allan W. Doak.

Heard yesterday about a recently arrived Swiss immigrant who had blond hair and blue eyes and two 100% Swiss parents.

Seems the young man wanted to ensure he didn't get thrown out of TAFE because he hardly ever attended lectures.

The answer? He claimed he was Aboriginal on every document that he had to complete, every time he was interviewed about his non-appearance at lectures etc...

The result - instead of being "kicked out" for non-attendance he is "still there - not attending" and getting paid Austudy (or is it Abstudy?)

Subject: The Churches

Given the churches attitude towards Native Title perhaps ONE NATION should have the policy that because of their involvement in the so called stolen children affair, the churches should recompense the aboriginal people by being the first to donate their land and property to them.

In fact we could have the policy that when we come to government we will assist the churches in their generosity towards the aboriginal people by passing legislation to transfer title of church property to the Land Councils. For example St.Pats, St.Pauls and Scots church in Melbourne will be levelled and Aboriginal corroboree centres built on the sites.

All Jesuit property in Australia would also be transferred to the land councils with no compensation of course as the transfer is to be the compensation for past injustices carried out by the Catholic Church.

If this worries the Pope for example he could signify this by instructing the catholic church to reverse its attitude towards Native title and by recalling Frank Brennan to Rome. Similarly for other churches.

Subject: Comments on Australian News of the Day

Dear Sir,

My concern is that we have allowed Australia to deteriorate. We have no-one to blame but ourselves, for we have allowed our politicians to abdicate all responsibility. By allowing the High Court to define Native Title, by allowing the so-called self-regulation of bodies such as Telstra, the Banks and so on.., we have given them a free hand.

Perhaps it is time for people like Pauline Hanson, at least she has the strength of character, maybe she will do what Cheryl (the demorat) failed to do and 'keep the bastards honest!'

Subject: Letter to Editor

I am reading: Pauline Hanson, One Nation And Australian Politics edited by Bligh Grant ISBN 1 875821 38 4, and I thought you might like to publish this quote from the chapter: Economic Rationalism and Economic Nationalism, p. 59. Viz:

"Once Hanson begins to fire her broadsides at the Hilmer process she stands to gain many more votes. But two developments could ruin the effectiveness of the One Nation propaganda on economic nationalism. The first would be the adoption by the Howard government of economic nationalist policies. The second would be the incorporation (or re-incorporation) of economic nationalism into the Labor platform for the next election."

Tod Moore then goes on to intimate that the latter is more likely, as the former is so devoted to their ideology, that they would never be able to react in time to save themselves, even if they knew they were doomed; such is the nature of the dinosaur.

Personal trivia, from the global office:

Another perfect day in paradise.

Very hot yesterday with temperatures reaching 37 degrees celcius.
