International:

Yesterday we revealed how a terrorist, Lorenzo Kom'Boa Ervin, had been allowed to enter Australia - possibly because he was black.

When you compare the treatment meted out by Australian immigration to David Irvine and Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams you start to believe that the colour of your skin does play a role in the decisions made by that department.

I do not support the views of any of the above but having said that I find it offensive that a Black Panther activist and terrorist is allowed to stir up trouble here.

In today's Courier Mail we read that Angry People, the Australian hosts of Ervin, the leader of the Anarchist Black Cross (ABC) movement, are peeved because of calls for his visit to be cancelled.

Ervin saying yesterday, "I didn't hijack a plane to get here. I went through the same procedure that everyone else does to come to this country."

So what are the political allegiances of these radical supporters? First let us recall how the Australian Labor Party (ALP) have tried, unsuccessfully, on several occasions to link Pauline Hanson's One Nation Party with David Duke and the Ku Klux Klan. The tact now being that her policies will attract racists, bigots and other extreme right wing groups.

There is growing evidence that the minority groups involved in the invitation to Ervin and other extremist movements are directly linked with none other than the ALP.

This is how I can justify that claim. Prior to the launch of Pauline Hanson's One Nation Party on the Gold Coast a group called the Anti-Racist Campaign or ARC, operating under the auspices of Left Link, broadcast an email drumming up support for a protest at that launch. Left Link's web page has direct links to the Sinn Fein and Black Panther web sites on the Internet ("in the interest of members").

Left Link (also known as Victoria's Broad Left Community) hold monthly meetings in the ACTU (Australian Council of Trade Unions) building in Peel Street in Brisbane. The ACTU is directly linked with the ALP.

Yesterday when I was trying to find out where Ervin was going to be speaking in Brisbane I didn't have to hunt too hard. I phoned the Green Left movement (another ALP off-shoot) as the Angry People web site made no reference to Ervin's visit or where or when he would be speaking. (Angry People appear to be the radical group who invited Ervin to Australia).

The lady from the Green Left movement was most helpful - she knew all about Ervin and his itinerary - but suggested that I speak to the co-ordinator in the Institute of Social Ecology department at the MS Bookshop in Brisbane's West End (phone number 3844 4973).

The department was closed because it was a Sunday but the fellow who answered the phone told me that the meeting would be held at the West End Migrant Resources Centre in Boundary Street near the corner of Vulture at 7pm tonight.

All these radical and extreme movements know of each other's activities and obviously condone them. They were given legitimacy under thirteen years of ALP pandering to minority group. The ties between the ALP and the groups is still strong - through the ACTU and the facade that they are not aligned is bunkum because at voting time their votes play a role in keeping ALP politicians in power.

Political:

It seems that the top bureaucrats in Australian politics are looking after their own lifestyles in a fashion to which they are accustomed. In fact top chief executives in Brisbane now get a salary package of Au$176,050 well above the relatively lowly salary of a politician on a base salary of Au$82,000 with allowances of just Au$27,211.

You say:

Subject: Terrorists in, historians out

How come a black terrorist with a criminal record can get into the country, when the world's most respected historian David Irving can't? Irving is white. Is it a matter of racism? Is it because the black terrorist might only offend whites and that's okay, while Irving might offend Jews and that's not okay?

This country is rotten with racism alright, anti-white racism.

Sport:

The Australian cricket team, thanks largely to the batting prowess of Stephen Waugh, has landed itself in a strong position in the third test leaving the English team a target of over 400 runs on the final day of play in the third of the Ashes tests.

Social:

An interesting comparison in pay rates between major capitals on the east coast of Australia:
