I might be missing something here, but aren't the masters of racism the Jewish politicians? The following report would appear to support this theory. Thus when you have the likes of David Greason of the Zionist Australia/Israel Review pointing the bone at Pauline Hanson time after time after time... so check out this extract from the Net Chronicle...

"Israel's legislature, the Knessett, will soon pass a bill giving Orthodox Jews sole recognition as "true Jews", and giving them control of religious policy in Israel. One of the hottest political issues in Israel, it's put Benjamin Netanyahu's government on a the spot, and has caused many American Jews to lobby Congress to pressure Israel to stop the legislation."

and an interesting comment in the debate extracted from a post in aus.politics by Helen on an earlier News of the Day comment regarding the Australia/Israel Review....

"Just for once (and I agree with most of what you say re Hanson), I don't think the "anti-semite" label quite checks out. At present, Hanson is the only pollie demanding that alleged Nazi war criminals residing in Australia (notably Konrads Kalejs) be tried for war crimes. (There are several official press releases on the GWB site on this issue).

"While Hanson was seeking a war crimes trial, Jeff Kennett - on the subject of Kalejs - said (this quoted from the "Weekend Australian Magazine" - in a recent front-page feature on Kennett) "You can understand the Jewish community being very upset. Some of them are still living awful lives and obviously many are still remembering family they never saw after the war. On the other hand, if you want to take an entirely Christian point of view, I think the last words Jesus uttered on the cross were 'forgive them, for they know not what they do'"

"Now it's likely that Kennett was just suffering from his ops normal foot-in-mouth disease, and there's always the chance that the "Weekend Australian" has misquoted him, or quoted him out of context, but even so, that is a telling remark."

Brisbane's Lord Mayor Jim Soorley is about to have his nose put out of joint after local government minister Di McCauley introduces legislation into Parliament tomorrow which will quash his plan to charge churches with a controversial environmental levy.

Mrs McCauley said that the Brisbane City Council had been "uncompromising" despite extensive talks.

"The levy is entirely unjust and lacking even a smidgen of unjustification," she said. "It is a levy that has a blatant disregard for society's most basic values and most basic standards."

Subject: Only 80% Women

Dear Sir,

The ALP is considering giving their women a vote value of 1.2 in pre-selection voting in an attempt to get more women into parliament. This is already in place in NSW. Does this mean that the ALP consider their women to be worth only 80% of a man? If so, what is Cheryl Kernot's response to this one?

If I were a woman and especially a Labor woman, I would be appalled by this gesture of tokenism. If "the men" thought that I was only good enough to compete on a tilted playing field, then I would have to start looking for a level one. As there hasn't been a "hue and cry" from Labor women then I must surmise that they have been treated as lesser beings for so long by the Labor bullies that they probably just accept it as so.

In stark contrast, One Nation already has a woman leader and the party treats men and women on an equal basis, but that is what One Nation is all about...EQUALITY.

Business:

Another big day on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) as the panic of crashing share prices spread through the Australian investment community.

The ASX lost about 10% or 267 points yesterday creating a paper loss of Au$40 billion... and taking the total loss in just four days of trading to over Au$60 billion.

Obviously a lot of mums and dads (and others) didn't trust Rene Rivkin's advice.

Personal trivia, from the global office:

Another perfect day in paradise.
