Pauline Hanson's One Nation Official home page.

International:

Opposition Communications spokesman Chris Schacht raised a serious question about the Packer/Fairfax deal in the Senate yesterday.

He questioned the Government's Communication Minister, Senator Alson about the involvement of former Victorian Liberal Party president Michael Kroger and his merchant bank's, JT Campbell and Co, involvement in the Packer deal. It appears that JT Campbell and Co will make Au$7 million if the deal goes ahead.

Alston said that he was not aware of any success fee payable to Kroger's company.

Wheels within wheels within wheels.....

The war against drugs in New South Wales has been lost according to Royal Commissioner James Wood in his final report.

In fact one of the most interesting issues which was overlooked by the mainstream media was the finding that the Cabramatta suburb is the drug capital of Australia with more covictions in that suburb than in the rest of New South Wales combined.

Cabramatta is the suburb that Pauline Hanson has described as a Vietnamese "enclave". In fact the police confirmed last night that the drug trade centered around members of the Asian community in Cabramatta.

In his report Wood suggests the astounding notion that heroin halls be established where drug addicts can legally "shoot-up".

His recommendations include the following:

Pauline Hanson is having problems getting a venue in South Australia for the launch of One Nation in that state.

South Australia and New South Wales are the two remaining states in which One Nation has yet to be launched.

Political:

Kim Beazley had his opportunity to reply to the Coalition Government's first budget last night in Parliament. In his 30 minute speech he delivered a number of "king hits" which made Prime Minister John Howard squirm visibly.

Perhaps the most telling was that the Au$3.7 billion taken away from the Labor Government's promise as a contribution towards workers superannuation would now land up in the pockets of the wealthy.

He said that the move would take, on average, Au$110,000 out of the pocket of the worker.

Beazley's whole theme was about the manner in which the budget effectively took from the poor and paid to the rich - calling it a Sheriff of Nottinghamshire budget.

He also attacked another Budget measure, the Au$1 billion Federation Fund for major projects around the country saying that it would be used just before the next election to gain votes.

You Say:

SUBJECT AIRSPACE INTRUSION.

For quite some time It has been noticed that UNMARKED jet aircraft as well as helicopters have been overflying this country.

As a consequence a group called Civilian Defence Network has set up a programme called Skywatch.

A group of about 7 jets were seen low flying on MAY 15TH No markings but apparently armed over the Tarong Power Station area.

A recorded telephone response to our inquiry indicated that at best they were not aware of the flight, or worse the defence force is not allowed to release details of Australian Flyovers. They have promised a more detailed response tomorrow.

Even though May 15th was overcast across most of the southeast of Qld. these craft were mostly below the cloud cover, and had projectiles under the wing, ( not necessarily armed).

The controller at Amberly airbase was told that a network was established to assist the defence forces, a group of true Australians who will monitor the skys, and report to the appropriate defence department.

We need more dedicated Aussies (of any race, colour or creed ) to join in what may be an important part of our civil defence, internal or external.

All you need is a pair of binoculars, to get the numbers if they are marked, and a log book, and report to central.

I am not certain the Government welcomes our help.

Business:

Australia's most profitable company - National Australia Bank - has posted a profit in excess of Au$1 billion for the first six months of this financial year.

The profit represented a 14.1% rise coming in at Au$1.14 billion and is quite sick in the light of struggling Australians paying high interest rates on home loans.

All Argus was interested in in his media interview was the "competition" and how savage it was. No reference to the customers, their plight or the bank's social obligations. No. It was all bottom line stuff and how much money can we make for the shareholders.

Let us remember that banking deregulation was one of then Labor treasurer Paul Keating's gems...

Personal trivia, from the global office:

Rain overnight. Cool outside with soft rain falling at daybreak.

Clearing now - but even at 8am soft mists play up the valley in a cloudy sky.

Have a great day.
