Pauline Hanson's One Nation
Queensland State Conference

27-29 November 1998

Pauline Hanson's One Nation (Queensland) held a state conference at Meteor Park Conference Centre on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th November 1998. None of the disruptions predicted by the media and other detractors occurred at the conference.

At commencement of the conference on Saturday, inspirational addresses were given by Tom King (State President), Pauline Hanson, David Oldfiled, ex-National party Senator Glen Sheil and Heather Hill (One Nation Senator). The Saturday sessions addressed agenda items, mainly on the party structure.

The agenda item to drop "Pauline Hanson" from the title "Pauline Hanson's One Nation" party was overwhelmingly defeated with the voting recorded as 129 against the motion 1 vote for the motion and 4 delegates abstained from voting.

All delegates voted to give Pauline Hanson their unanimous support and to retain Pauline Hanson as the National President.

Delegates were satisfied with Pauline Hanson's and David Oldfield's explanations in regard to the party structure and the handling of finances.

It was overwhelmingly endorsed that the Pauline Hanson's One Nation Queensland Parliamentarians continue their investigation into the Chevron Gas Pipeline and to develop an economically sustainable environment policy.

Delegates left the conference satisfied that the forward momentum of the party will improve our position of being the third major political force leading to a better future for all Australians.

At the close of the conference, Tom King stood as state president due to ill-health, and Pauline Hanson has assumed the role of interim state president, until the AGM has been held.
