Friday 27th November 1998

A small group of One Nation delegates left the Brisbane state bus terminal at 9am on a perfect summer day. Stanley our driver, and a One Nation supporter, drove us to our destination... Neerkol Conference Centre about 40 kilometres west of Rockhampton several hundred kilometres to the north of the Queensland State Capital.

On the way we stopped and picked up a number of people, including Pauline Hanson at Caloundra.

We eventually arrived at Neerkol just after 6pm.

The images below record some moments taken during that bus trip:

There were a small group of One Nation delegates who had made their way to Neerkol from all over Queensland. The attendees included three state MPs Jack Paff, Peter Prenzler and "Dolly" Pratt (seen here right).

(Peter Prenzler is in front with his wife on the right in the photo).

There was a "boarding school" type tea served up by the nuns in a large room which was followed by registration of delegates to the conference.

Picture left delegates registering for the conference.

After the formalities were over a small group, including the MPs and Pauline Hanson left Neerkol for a small country pub about 10 kilometres down the road.

Images below in the pub left to right: Jack Paff comes to terms with his chair; Maurice and Jennifer Horsburgh (President of Gold Coast branch of One Nation); Carol and our driver, Stanley.

We turned in for an early night, but before we did I took these two picture, in the first Pauline Hanson is with Jack Struber and in the second with Scott Balson.
