Background: Served a 5 year electrical apprenticeship with a large electrical contracting firm after which he commenced work for himself as an electrical contractor. He has continued in this career for 33 years with his wife as his partner in the business.

Don also owned and ran a grape vineyard for a period of 5 years (up to 1981).

In 1987 Don ran for election to the Wentworth Shire Council. He has been re-elected since this and has served in positions that include Shire President in 1995, and as Mayor for the last 4 years.

Don is the current Mayor of Wentworth Shire - a position he has been elected into seven times. During the last eleven years he has gained a deep insight into the plight of the average Australian.

Community work and interests: Don is a director of the Sunraysia Group training co; an honorary member of the Wentworth Rotary Club; a past-president and a Paul Harriss Fellow; a member of the Wentworth Pistol Club; past-president of the Dareton Kennel Club; past-president of the Sunraysia Gliding Club and currently a level 2 gliding instructor at this club.

Reason for Supporting Pauline Hanson's One Nation: One Nation understands that there are many electorates in Australia which have problems which need to be dealt with on the basis of area. In their quest for global markets and the so-called level playing field our present government has forgotten about this.
