Background: Nigel is married with one daughter with another child due in July. He has lived in the Bulimba electorate for almost 30 years. He attended Bulimba State school, Balmoral High School, then Started an apprenticeship with Telstra's Bulimba workshops specialising in Electronic manufacturing and repair, he was with Telstra for 6 1/2 years reaching the level of senior technical officer before leaving to learn about Scientific and Medical Research Instrumentation with the Queensland Institute of Medical Research after a year.
Nigel was offered a job with a U.S based company and is currently the specialist for bioresearch instrumentation for Nth NSW, QLD and the Northern Territory and sometimes New Zealand.
Nigel enjoys his job with all the different people of different backgrounds and nationalities and countries. Recently he was over in the U.S.A with one of his colleagues from Taiwan. They had a ball on their days off as they visited the U.S Air force Air and Space Museum Dayton OHIO( it is the best aircraft museum in the world) Wright Brothers through to Stealth Fighters.
But after revelations of travel rorts and self serving politicians who are more interested in Frequent Flyer points than getting jobs for young people. And Recent headlines of Skilled Migrants needed in a leading newspaper, Nigel felt betrayed by the Labour and Liberal politicians who have allowed this high youth unemployment to prevail and don't offer prospects for our young people and the people who at the other end of the spectrum over 45 who are forced to retire once out of a job.
One Nation offered national pride, Pauline Inspired me with her pride in Australia something rare in a modern internationalist politics.
The high youth suicide policies of Labour and Liberal parties are striking every community in Australia going across cultural boundaries ( This is criminal ) perhaps by focusing on this issue we can become truly one nation.
Nigel is concerned about services for the elderly being cut back and his goal will be to reverse this and treat them with the respect they have earned.
Nigel will encourage a return to basic values for people to consider:- Roof over the head , Food on the table , Loving and caring for family and friends And jobs for All Australians.
