Lunch time with Pauline Hanson

At lunch (just after 12pm today) I had time to touch base with Pauline Hanson and Heather Hill at Heather's house in Karana Downs.

At lunch I asked Pauline about what would be her first decisions if she held the balance of power after the results were announced.

"I will not form a Coalition with anyone," Pauline said. "I would however guarantee supply with who ever formed a minority government. One Nation will be totally independent. This will be the first true Australian democracy.

"I would demand that the sale of Telstra be dropped and the plans for a GST with it. I don't care much for Labor's tax plans either. I would want the 2% Easytax to be investigated by the Treasury to see whether it is feasible or not or how it could be made feasible. I would want the multinationals and big business to start paying their fair share of tax.."

"I will immediately have the Child Support issue looked into - because right now it is a disaster.

"I will want ATSIC to be disbanded and all funding for multiculturalism to be stopped."

I asked Pauline how she felt she was going in Blair.

"Very good. In areas like Brassal and Kilcoy the feedback has been that the support has been excellent. I am still waiting for feedback from places like Gatton."

As I left I found these two photographers hanging around outside.

"Looking for Pauline?" I asked. "Well you've missed her she went out the backway." I left with the two deciding what to do next.
