Manning the booths

Somewhat interesting fate to cross my path - for the first time in many, many years.... a snake  about two foot long on the day of the election - would that represent the media or the mainstream parties I wondered - maybe both?

It is the men and women who hand out the "how to vote" cards who play a critical role in an election - especially when One Nation has been placed LAST by every other "traditional" party.

In the images below we show some of the men and women who stood in the hot sun and made sure all those who wanted the One Nation preference in voting got it.

Some interesting signs by Labor and Liberal aimed arrows at each other....

One of the busiest polling booths was at the Brassal Primary School (right) where voters lined up to make their mark.

Image right voters lining up outside the booth.

It was at this booth that Pauline Hanson felt she was getting excellent support.

At about 10.30am Pauline Hanson came to the booth that I was manning in Jellicoe Street Brassal (not the big one) referred to above.

Here are some pictures taken during her short visit.
