INDYCARNIVAL '95 MARCH 16th TO 19th 1995 ON TRACK TO BE ONE OF AUSTRALIA'S BIGGEST EVENTS.

The world's fastest drivers on track and Australia's most popular entertainer on stage will combine to make IndyCarnival on the Gold Coast in Queensland one of Australia's biggest sports and entertainment events.

IndyCar Australia Chief Executive Glen Jones said tickets for the 1995 event offered spectators outstanding value for money, with little or no increases over 1994 prices and worthwhile extra benefits.

These included the concert by John Farnham and his band, television superscreens providing full track coverage for pit straight and hairpin grandstand users as well as a unique support race program.

The four day race program from Thursday 16th March will be part of a week of IndyCarnival celebrations.

IndyCarnival will host round two of the PPG Indy Car World Series.

New PPG Cup champion Al Unser Jr, Penske team-mate and double world champion Emerson Fittipaldi, 1994 Gold Coast winner (101,084 bytes)Michael Andretti (or his details) and the hottest of the so-called young lions of IndyCar racing will line up for the 65-lap race.

The support program will feature international class Two-litre Super Touring Cars, a mini- enduro with a night-time finish for showroom-standard sedans and sports cars, races for the ever popular NASCARS and AUSCARS and the high-tech power of Thundersports cars.

The IndyCar circuit which speeds along the Surfers Paradise beach esplanade and winds between high rise holiday apartments, is described as "unrivalled in beauty and spectacle anywhere in the world."

"We've got the scenery, the weather, the hinterland, attractions such as Seaworld and Movieworld and the biggest choice of holiday accommodation in Australia" Mr Jones said.
