Michael Andretti Wins Pole Position

-	This is Michael's 29th career IndyCar pole position.  That's the most among 
	active drivers.

-	The 29 poles places Michael fifth on the all-time list.  Father Mario is the 
	leader with 66 poles.

-	This is Michael's second IndyCar pole of the season.  He also won the pole 
	for the season opening race in Miami two weeks ago.

-	Of Michael's 29 poles, 22 have come on road courses, and 7 on oval tracks.

-	Michael also won the pole in Australia for the inaugural IndyCar race here in 
	1991.  He qualified second in 1992 and 1994. (Did not compete here in 1993.)

-	Michael has 29 career IndyCar wins, the most among active drivers.  
	AJ Foyt is the all-time leader with 67 victories.

-	Michael is the defending Australia IndyCar race winner.  He also led the race 
	strongly in 1991 and 1992, but did not finish.

-	This is the 58th pole position for owners Paul Newman and Carl Haas since 
	forming Newman/Haas Racing in 1983.  Mario Andretti scored 26 of those 
	poles, Michael Andretti 23, and Nigel Mansell 9.
