Racing Career:

1972 - Started racing quarter midgets at age six.

1974 - National quarter midget champion.

1975 - Scored second consecutive national midget championship.

1978 - Won third career midget championship.

1984 - Made eleven starts in SCCA Formula Ford series, scoring five victories. Won North American Formula Ford Pro championship and Rookie of the Year honours.

1985 - In ten starts scored seven poles and five victories.

1986 - SCCA Formula Ford national champion, scoring record seven victories and nine poles. Awarded SCCA President's Cup.

1987 - Runner-up in Formula Atlantic championship scoring one win and two poles.

1989 - Made two Pro Sports 2000 starts scoring a pole and first and second place finishes. Scored three second place finishes in Canadian Formula Ford 2000 series.

1990 - In four starts scored one Formula Atlantic win and two poles. Scored five wins and seven pole positions in Canadian FF 2000 series. Led the most laps over a season.

1991 - Scored six wins and eight pole positions in Formula Atlantic to win title. Presented with series Gilles Villeneuve Trophy.

1992 - Started eleven IndyCar events and posted a seventh place finish at Long Beach. Crashed at Indy suffering broken leg and missing three of next four races. Also scored points at Toronto and Laguna Seca. 222.312 mph four-lap average qualifying speed was a rookie record at IMS.

1993 - Started twelve events earning a podium third place at Phoenix. Placed thirteenth at Indy. Finished sixteenth with 30 points in PPG Cup standings.

1994 - Started all sixteen races with Hayhoe Racing. Scored season best finishes of fourth at Australia and Indianapolis. Scored five points paying finishes.
