Racing Career:

Won forty two percent of races entered in the first four years of his career. Has finished in the top five eighty percent of all races entered.

1987 - Entered sixteen Formula Ford races scoring seven wins and nine second place finishes. Won the Formula Ford national championship. Scored four wins in eleven races entered in the Western Formula Atlantic series to finish second in points.

1988 - Won Formula Atlantic West Coast Championship. Won five of ten races entered. Set fastest race lap in five of the events.

1989 - Became first American to New Zealand Formula Pacific Championship. Entered ten races, won five and earned four poles. First American to win Formula Pacific New Zealand Grand Prix.

1990 - Made IndyCar debut. Scored eleventh place at Mid-Ohio and Cleveland. Qualifies for Indy 500 and finished seventeenth.

1991 - Due to lack of sponsorship started only the Australia IndyCar finishing twelfth. He was injured at Indy.
