Racing Career:

Got racing start in Karts at age twelve.

1988 - Started first season in Italian Formula Alf Boxer championship.

1989 - Scored five wins and eight pole positions to claim Italian Formula Boxing championship. Named by Italy's Autosprint Magazine Most Promising Young Italian Driver of the Year.

1990 - Moved into Young Italian Formula Three Series. Earned Rookie of the Year Honours.

1991 - Returned to Italian Formula Three championship, driving for factory Alfa Romeo Team. Scored second place finish at Impia, third at Monza and Misano. Also raced in South American Formula Three championship. Finished second at Punta Del Este.

1992 - Moved into Formula 3000 championship driving a Reynard 92D for Fotri Corse team. Finished fifth at Pergusa and Nogaro.

1993 - Returned to Formula 3000 with a best finish of third at Nurburgring.

1994 - Started the season with Euromotorsport Racing then switched to Dale Coyne Racing at Detroit. Scored a career best finish of seventh at Portland then placed tenth at Cleveland. Suffered injuries at a practice crash at Michigan. In all started ten races.
