AUSOMAUSOM stands for the Apple Users' Society of Melbourne. they were established in 1982, and have a current membership of about 1500, making them one of the largest groups of their kind in the world. Caters for users of all Apple Inc. and related equipment, particularly Macintoshes, Apple IIs, Power PCs and Newtons in the (relative) vicinity of Melbourne, Australia.
Providing member support, forums, news, meetings, Special Interest Group (SIG) services, a large book and disk library, and a monthly newsletter.
