Alex's most excellent adventure
to the Koala Hospital.

On Saturday March 2nd 1996, Alex went on a very special adventure to visit some of Max's friends at their very special hospital at Moggill Ferry near Alex's home at Karana Downs.

Alex was there to witness a most unusual operation saving the eyesite of a koala suffering from chlamydia psitacci. Tony Woods is the remarkable vet who has treated and saved the sight of thousands of koalas.


Alex had a wonderful time and met Koalas both young and old.

Alex held two orphan Koalas, Booffie and another called Cindy. In this picture Alex is holding Cindy who is about 30cm high and weighs about 600 grams. Cindy is 14 months old while Booffie (the bigger Koala) is 16 months old.
